The man fought GGG and Errol Spence back to back for christ sake. Not only did he fight them, he was arguably winning before he got his eye socket broken and then stopped by both of them each eye. The fact he even wants to fight again after that....he's a "quitter" though.

Give the man a ****ing break. "Quitter" my ass.

Maybe some boxers would have continued but I think most boxers would not have continued to fight under the same circumstances.

****ss are the only people labeling him a quitter. Guys who have never played a sport in their lives

But the dude has heart for days and. He fought Gennady and Spence back to back and even though I think he quit in both fights. I'm not going to knock it since both times he got his face broken

Especially when you consider in the last week Gradovich and Zou Shiming basically retired or should retire from eye issues. Probably wouldn't have been wise in either fight to try and continue
I'm seconding what these posters say.

Brook did "quit" in that he retired himself from the fight, but not before he'd given everything he had to try and win it.

I thought he showed tremendous heart going for broke with a broken eye socket, after being told by the surgeon that he could have blinded by the same injury in the GGG fight.

Some fighters do some fighters don't, depends on their mentalitity.

But he quit though, that's just a fact.

He went against Ali in one of the greatest fights ever and was half-blind by the end. Brook didn't even try to tough it out till the final rounds.

make no mistake, the punishment frazier took in the third fight against ali was far beyond what should be expected of athletes competing in a sport.

frazier was hardly coherent late in life, could hardly see as you mentioned, and died in his 60's.

no beef whatsoever with a fighter retiring with a broken eye socket. none. you lose in a sport, but you can still see! you guys have to be very naive or just sadists to want or expect to see people fight on with a broken eye socket and risk a life in the dark.

          thank you green k sir.

I think i had brook winning V spence until his face fell apart again, i can understand that considering Golovkin already ****ed his eye up.....people say it was the other eye but i thought it was the same one?

Why are people trying to manufacture idea brook has no heart?
After the GGG fight general consensus was brook had heart.

Agreed. He kept throwing against Golovkin despite getting battered, and he kept throwing against Spence despite being weight drained and battered to ****. Nothing about him says quitter, folks who claim that are plain morons.

Brook's career is probably in jeopardy at this point because of how poorly he has handled it. He got his eye broken after jumping in weight, instead of recuperating for a year, he decides to go back down in weight and get his other eye broken. IMO he's finished, I'd be surprised if he sniffs another world title after this.

"Quitters" are guys like Walters or Rigo, fighters who were not sustaining heavy damage and just decided to call it quits.

Anyone talking shhh about Kell Brook clearly cannot comprehend how serious that injury is. Really suggest the critics google the effects of a fractured eye socket and realize this man fought with one for a whole six rounds in that fight. In terms of heart that man showed a lot of heart.e.

I'm not knocking Brook at all but no matter how you want to sugar coat it he quit. If people are calling him a coward and stuff like that then I would have a problem but he did quit.

He fought several rounds with the bad eye and even in the last round landed some good shots. He stopped in the end because Spence broke his spirit imo. No matter what he did Spence kept coming back stronger and putting him under sustained pressure. Basically he showed great heart before eventually calling it a day.

It's not anything degrading, i think higher of him than other people who quit like Walters.

I agree that he emptied the tank as well as had the injury.

The only thing he didn't do is get knocked unconscious and carried out on a stretcher.

Some fighters would do that as well. But you have to accept that that is not normal, actually shows a strange lack of survival instinct when you really think about it.

It's a shame Brook couldn't avoid the jab more consistently because he has the skills to do it but for every nice counter to a Spence/GGG jab, he would get hit with 3 or 4 clean jabs and that was probably his downfall in the end.
