I agree. The bone in his face was broken and the pain must have been awful. He couldn't see much and to continue would make the injury even worse as Spence was targeting the injured eye. Under the circumstances it seemed reasonable to stop fighting in my opinion. Maybe some boxers would have continued but I think most boxers would not have continued to fight under the same circumstances.
Kell Brook got heart

Every boxer that steps through the ring got heart, brook seems to be given extra passes for getting beaten up by Spence. I give him the GGG one because he was fighting a bigger boxer size-wise but I don’t think he show us any extra heart against Spence. He was basically meant to be better, more experienced, fought at that level before than Spence. Spence left his own country in his first major fight, I give Spence more of the “Heart” crap than Brook.Comment

I think the fight could have been a slpit decisions had he not broken his eye socket.
****ss are the only people labeling him a quitter. Guys who have never played a sport in their livesComment

If quitting means you got heart then yeah that motha****a got a whole lot of heart.Comment

Is this forum full of under cover ****sexuals who support Brook no matter what because he's still in the closet? This is the same guy who took 10 years to face a live body, and in his entire career has only 1 good win which was a close controversial boring win at that, then has quit twice in a row, tries to get paydays off of his 1 boring live body win and still his massive support. Am I missing something?Comment

I'm positive Brook has heart. I gave him a pass against Golovkin. He moved up in weight. He gave it his best against the top guy in division and an extremely hard puncher. The fact that his corner threw in the towel also made a difference. Against Spence you can make the argument that he quit. I wouldn't label him a quitter but he chose to stay down. It's hard to give him a pass for that one.Comment

I'm not a fan of Kell
But the dude has heart for days and. He fought Gennady and Spence back to back and even though I think he quit in both fights. I'm not going to knock it since both times he got his face broken
Especially when you consider in the last week Gradovich and Zou Shiming basically retired or should retire from eye issues. Probably wouldn't have been wise in either fight to try and continueComment

He quit twice and looked for a way out in BOTH fights. I don't buy his eye was that badly injured in the Spence fight at least because I've seen fighters win with worse injuries and they don't affect them for the rest of their lives either.
Now, if Brook can come back and actually beat a world level opponent again then fine, if not, he needs to stfu.Comment
