What point are you trying to make...that a small mw isn't a mw? Someone who weighs over the 154lb limit sure isn't a jmw.

    more ******ity

when Canelo was campaigning at 155, YOU called him a middleweight..... but immediately before moving up, Canelo won the WBO jmw title, AT 154..... making your "observations"..... bullshht

    Canelo was OBVIOUSLY a JMW

you are attempting to label a fighter by the "technical" classification of the bout..... which is horribly flawed and terribly ignorant..... you dopey casual-fan lol

it is impossible for a fighter who cannot weight more than 155 to be regarded as a genuine middleweight.....

I just disagree with the term "demand" for a fight that wasn't even being negotiated lol.

If you're so down on ggg's team for suggesting a cw for the ward fight, then why were you so in favour of ggg facing Canelo at a cw?

the 164lb catchweight demand killed that fight.....

FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Froch at 168
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Chavez at 168
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Jack at 168
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Hopkins at 168
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Ramirez at 168
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Chudinov at 168
FACT: Golovkin was NOT willing to fight Ward at 168

just so long as you are happy with that hahah

you must be sooooo proud lol

      just like.....

FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Rosado at catchweight
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight Brook at catchweight
FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight everyone else at 154

..... so long as their names were not Cotto and Canelo loooool

I simply stated that a fighter weighing 155lbs is a mw, which is just a fact. If you disagree with it...tell me what weight class 155lbs falls into.

you just walked away from your opportunity to smarten up

just like Golovkin walked away from his opportunity to become a REAL fighter..... rather than a protected network darling who likes to tip-toe through the tulips to avoid anyone with a pulse

No, it's only a CW when the 2 fighters agree on a weight within a division but it is still sanctioned at that division, canelo didn't win the CW world title, he won the MW world title

So you are saying a fight at 155lbs limit is not a catchweight fight????

Ward was more than willing to fight Floyd at 160. So why did he rule out 164 for GGG?

The sanctioned limit for any middleweight title fight is 160lbs.

Catchweight agreements are a separate, private arrangement between the fighters concerned.

Technically, a middleweight title fight at a catchweight of 155 is a middleweight fight.

GGG could have signed a contract agreeing to fight Canelo at 155, then torn it up and come in at any weight he liked, up to 160. The WBC would have taken no action against him - they put out a statement saying so - and Canelo would have had to fight GGG at 160 or give up the title.

Where did I call Canelo a mw lol? This has nothing to do with Canelo as far as I'm concerned...its about your inability to admit that a fighter weighing in at 155lbs is in fact weighing in as a mw.

how the fk did that magically turn a guy who had never weighed more than 155, into a genuine middleweight?

put it this way..... why do YOU think that Golovkin said this AFTER fighting 159lb Brook?

                    " he is not a middleweight, He just isn't " ~ Golovkin
If he fights above 154 he is fighting at mw by definition. If you cannot understand the very easy and basic concept of weight divisions, I pity you. Now this here is not a case where a fighter has a single over-the-weight bout as Leonard against Kalule where Leonard immediately went back to ww.

If you don’t understand it you are either just a rather tedious troll or just ******.

MW is 155-160, but it's also true that 155 is 1lb over 154, JMW.

So saying Canelo campaigning at 155 was a JMW move isn't crazy at all.

In fact, the people who say Canelo was a MW also happen to be MarGGGarito fans because saying Canelo was already a MW makes his "draw" a better performance.

In reality Canelo was simply a SMALLER frame than MarGGGarito and he outboxed him pretty clearly in their fight. A 7-5 or 8-4 for Canelo wasn't confusing or biased at all. Any further than that is a bit much though because he just wasn't active enough to win wider, but definitely accurate enough and defensively excellent
