Comments Thread For: Arum Stays on The Fence in Lomachenko-Crawford P4P Debate

If pressed and asked to choose between Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford to pick your number one pound-for-pound fighter, who would the man who promotes both choose? Top Rank's CEO, guides the careers of both boxers. Both of them are under consideration for the top pound-for-pound spot in boxing - and both are in the running for 'Fighter of The Year' honors for 2017.

What they should be asking Arum is, "can Manny still make 135, and if so, why not Pacquiao vs. Lomachenko?"

Pacquiao hasn't made 135 in almost 10 years, at the time they said he moved up because he was struggling to make weight. This would be like Pacquiao-De La Hoya all over again.

A good problem to have if you're Top Rank. The other good problem to have is you don't have to worry about them fighting each other.

You probably think Mikey or Canelo is #1 right?

No reason to be in the fence. Crawford is #1 and Loma should fall behind him. ggg and probably Mikey garcia are ahead of Loma as well.

Bobfather can't pick between his two favorite sons.

Whoever becomes a bigger draw will be p4p #1 in his mind.
