How is Povetkin low risk? He has the richest promoter in boxing by a mile.

Who said he was "low risk"? (I'm legitimately asking)

Would Eddie Hearn make Alexander Povetkin a voluntary defense for Joshua? Likely not.

Would Eddie Hearn avoid making/settling a mandatory defense obligation against Povetkin? Not in a million years.

No matter how you cut it, a fight against Povetkin is, at worse, a 50/50 proposition (depending on what Povetkin looks like against Hammer, Joshua may even end up being favored). A calculated risk, tbh.

Compare that to Joseph Parker and Povetkin, who I don't see his handlers ever start talking about fighting

That'd be utterly ******, so I doubt that Eddie Hearn actually said that ('Hearns' may have, but whoever that is has no say here).

Anthony Joshua, undisputed heavyweight champion, has bigger cache than just Anthony Joshua, the new lineal champion who let someone else run around with a belt.

He beats Wilder he'll be the biggest star in the sport, wont matter what belts he has. Noone will tell him who he has to fight. One of the bodies tells him he has to fight Charr or some other mandatory and Furys ready to fight, why not drop the belt?

I never understood what the big deal was about Povetkin. AJ and Wilder knock him out.

I realize that wasn't the question. Not sure if Hearn would let the fight happen or not.

Disagree that it's very little reward. Povetkin has huge money behind him and a lot of Russian fans.

Povetkin would give both a good fight. Too many fighters have been busted for PED's.

I don't ever hear you complain about lamont peterson or luiz ortiz...

povetkins one of the most overrated fighters on this forum. he went life and death with marco huck and got absolutely slaughtered against klitschko. Not only was he never that good in the first place, but now hes coming up to his 40th birthday. Hes no threat to joshua whatsoever.
