Would Hearn keep AJ away from Povetkin?

First, this isn't Aj bashing, you insecure freaks. I'm sure AJ isn't scared of anyone. But, I doubt Hearn would be too eager to see it. Povetkin a cheating douche but I actually thought he was going to beat Wilder and it's entirely possible that he could violently KO AJ.

Do you guys think Eddie will try to steer clear of this one? Super-high risk, with very little reward.

Potvetkin would be a great name on both Joshua's and Wilder's resume, but I think it'll take a lot of financial motivation for Hearn to want to make that fight. They might delay that fight in an attempt to age Povetkin a bitter longer. Maybe if Povetkin looks vulnerable in his next fight, then they would be interested in pitting Joshua against him.

Povetkin made his own bed of ****, so I don't feel any sympathy for the lack of big, possible fights that he may miss out on.

Apparently not as Hearn has talked about Povetkin being an option if the Parker fight falls through.

Seems like he's trying to keep him away from any of the big threats. The reality is Povetkin, Wilder and a fit Fury would end his run. After that they can't claim to be the best and their stock will drop significantly.

I think whatll happen is, after Joshua/Wilder, Joshua wins he'll fight the money fight every time from then on. Hearns already said theyll drop belts, after theyve fully unified, if a mandatories called that fans dont want. For example theyll drop the WBA if Charr is ordered and Fury is ready to fight.

Definitely. In fact, I'd love to see him banned for 3 years.
But, he's back. And, as much as I hate that, I won't deny that he adds a lot of excitement to the division. He's a very capable dude. There's a reason Wlad did his best to smother him every chance he got.

Too high risk and low reward! So unless enough money is guaranteed, I doubt Hearn is going to go out of his way to make a match happen against Povetkin.

Hearn wouldn’t put him anywhere near him. He’ll try and spin it as, “we won’t fight a PED cheat”, when he’s promoted Dillian Whyte, and Luis Ortiz in the past, and also constantly says he wants to work with Fury who’s under investigation,
If AJ picks up the WBO belt and Povetkin is the mandatory it’ll be real interesting to see how it unfolds. There’s no way Hearn outbids Ryabinsky, and I assume AJ would not want to vacate

"Manuel Charr has won the 'regular' title but they are not looking at him as a mandatory challenger. Alexander Povetkin is fighting Christian Hammer which could be the final eliminator to be Joshua's mandatory."

"We have spoken about Joshua vs Povetkin, and the likelihood of that. We have a really good relationship with World of Boxing, who are his promoters. They have a situation where they can fight a final eliminator to be the mandatory for Joshua, or for the WBO, so they are making that decision now " E. Hearn

Gotta love boxing scene logic , its not even up to Hearn bc Joshua STILL has to fight Mandatories no matter who they are .
