If this is the case then all that dumb f**k had to do was put it on paper for the WBC to see. He cheated but got away with it. I don't care because I hope Wilder fights him now but I don't think it will happen unless Ortiz wins an eliminator or 2 to get the Mandatory spot. He blew it, his team blew it & now they need to get back in line. I see the fight happening though. Wilder PAID Stiverne step aside money to make the fight with Ortiz possible. It didn't happen all because Ortiz cheated/couldn't get the paper work in order. If they didn't cheat than he should be firing his management for complete incompetence. They just cost him millions in the long run...

Wow.. So in other words, the WBC could've let the Ortiz/Wilder fight happen but insisted on forcing Wilder to fight Stiverne instead. As someone has already mentioned, the following could very well explain why that happened:

Doesn't seem like it matters as they've already lined up Breazeale as the next opponent.

Dominic Breazeale followed by Luis Ortiz is a great way to start 2018 for Deontay Wilder.

If he doesn't disclose it, he either gets away with it and no one is the wiser, or he gets caught and falls on his ready-made excuse. If he does disclose it, he has to fall back on that excuse immediately.

He played the percentages, and the WBC has let him get away with it.

No wonder this sport has such a massive drug problem - there's hardly any deterrent.
If they played the percentages, they were not very smart, they loss a bunch money plus the fine and the eyes of everyone on him. I;ll say that they didn't disclosure out of negligence. Or they didn't want to discuss Ortiz illness, think that will give and advantage to wilder. Then again is my opinion and not set on stone.

Well, there's at least one in this thread I could name...

I don't pretend to know the details here...I have been privy to some intense debate about testing and consequences involving procedure... right ADP and Travesty? lol but I have to say this:

There is nothing performance enhancing about blood pressure medicines. I can't think of how they would mask another substance, though maybe so, maybe so. Many people take blood pressure medicines, I take one myself. They are used for chronic conditions especially since the medical people keep lowering the baseline for the numbers.

So when I hear people belly aching about what Ortiz is getting away with, I have to be a bit skeptical. At a certain age your activity does not control blood pressure, its genetics and big guys especially have problems! For example, my sisters are younger, I am the oldest, and my sisters are not physically big (both are very attractive lol). I am only a few years older than middle sister...nobody has a history of blood pressure problems in the family as far as tracked, but I am sort of a giant compared to the rest of the immediate family and I have had high blood pressure that I need to treat for some time now.

I would be willing to give Ortiz the benefit of the doubt here unless someone can show me how medicines that either change the Calcium Potassium reaction in the arterial, vein walls, or medicines that slow the heart down by repressing specific chemical antagonists that make the heart beat faster, can mask a drug that helps a man compete in a boxing match.

The "dumb F uck" does not have any motivation not to put the drug down. Dumb f uck indeed! that may well answer the question as to the "why." Listen I love to watch Cuban boxing but that does not mean I would go into a rocket that Ortiz had been asked to figure out the placement of mathmatically for landing purposes. Ortiz may not even know how to read for all the f ck all we know.

Why would it be any benefit for Ortiz to do what he did? Would the agency not catch the meds? I don't think he was trying to cheat.
