I want him to move up so he can do some of the crap he has been saying he can do for the last half decade.

I can't recall any fighter in the last 20 years who has had such a stark contrast between what he says he is going to do and what he has actually done.

The Lil’G nickname was classic and it did expose Golovkin and his handlers about his bs willingness to fight anyone from 154-168. Ward would have taken Lil’G to school and would have either stopped him or won a wide UD. Lil’G and his peeps knew this...

I know you're not a 'fan who actually wants the guy to live up to some of his hype the way all greats do' because I've read your posts on here, have a brain and can see BS when I see it.

            But I'll bite anyway.

Golovkin didn't have it as easy as Ward because he's not American, didn't fight there until 2012 nor did he have a promoter that actually cared about him.

Thanks to his promoter, Dan Goosen, Ward fought in and won the super 6. A tournament Golovkin would kill for the opportunity to participate in if when he was relatively unknown just like Ward was before s6.

GGG was stuck in Germany with dying Universum that wouldn't let him fight their golden boy, Sturm (GGG was his mandatory at the time).

So Golovkin took his family and moved to USA. That was in 2012. At the time Ward was already the super 6 winner and was just about to fight drained Dawson.

Golovkin, still relatively unknown, started claiming he'd fight anyone from 154-168. That was at the beggining of his US career. In not so many words he was promoting himself and what he really meant 'I want a payday'.

You know, just like Andre Ward wanted a payday from Klitschko after he'd cleaned up SMW and beat Dawson and Wlad was his only realistic next big pay day. Or after he 'beat' Kovalev and challenged Joshua who accidentally is arguably the biggest star in the sport.

But back to GGG/Ward. The only 'offer' has made was an offer made after Golovkin signed Lemieux fight. And we never seen that offer, we only heard Ward say they made it.

You know, just like we heard GGG say he was ready to fight Ward when asked at the HBO meeting in 2013. The same meeting where Ward answered 'no' to the same question.

As you also know, at the time the offer was made, Golovkin had bigger fish to fry like Cotto and Canelo. By bigger fish I mean bigger paydays.

Now back to Andre Ward who 'dared to be great' and moved up to fought Kovalev. Or at least that's the narrative you fanboys choose to believe.

But what really happened was, HBO didn't want to pay for his mismatches vs Brands of the world (a fight that the commission didn't even sanctioned lmao). So what did SOG do? He threw a tantrum, accused HBO of racism...and eventually moved up like the fake man of principle he always was.

So as you can see my friend, both Golovkin and Ward are prizefighters and make decisions that they think are financially the most profitable ones.

You just chose to believe the one you're a fan of. That's why I don't take you seriously.

not sure why anyone cares if you call him little g...but don't be surprised when whatever point you're trying to make about him isn't taken objectively. That's the ******ity of it...using that name and wondering why people won't take your opinion or analysis seriously.

Ward talking about Klitschko and Joshua are not nearly the same as Golovkin saying anyone in 3 or 4 weight classes.

                Far from it.

And the fact that you equate the two different things underscores your fandom.

And it easy to offer a fight to someone who is recovering from a serious shoulder injury, which is what is rumored to have happened in 2013.

                That's right, rumor.

We have no proof that an offer was actually made at an HBO meeting in 2013; but we will assume it happened since Ward has never denied it (and frankly why should he since he was injured AND in the middle of promotional problems).

But we do know an offer was made by Ward in 2015...and turned down in a half hour.

We do know the offer made by Ward was actually a counter proposal made in response to Loeffler offering a 164 lb catchweight, this when they were OK with 168 for other super-middles.

We also know that the offer was made by Ward before they had any knowledge of the Lemieux fight and the offer allowed each fighter to take an interim fight beforehand, making any argument that Golovkin was already signed a moot point.

As for your take that Ward was forced by HBO to move up because they didn't want to pay for him to fight "mismatches vs. Brand"...YOU DO KNOW THAT BRAND WAS THE SECOND FIGHT OF HIS 3 FIGHT DEAL WITH HBO, RIGHT?

They didn't force Ward to do shyt- no one forces Ward to do shyt as evidenced by his retirement. Ward does things his own way.

Again, all you just did is prove that you are a fanboy.

You know all about Triple G, but are casual when it comes to other fighters in the sport.

                Nice try tho...

lol. You could've just said you don't like Ward. You're using golovkin as a standard to justify downplaying him.

in layman's illustration. imagine a guy saying he could do this and that.... ideally his best friend, personal friend, would or could make excuses for what way his friend is saying...

You don'T know Genandy personally. making up excuses for him is rather fanboyish and unrealistic.

we grind Lil'G because boxing if foooking hard. we are the fans, and when a boxer says he can do something ''easy'' and never lives up to it is simply called ''bullshıt.''

isn't there an American expression for ''you can talk the talk but can you walk the walk?''

What makes you think hbo wouldn't have offered it as part of a multi fight deal like the kovalev fight? Was anyone saying ward had to fight injured? The point is, the offer was allegedly made and ward turned it down...this being swept under the rug by the same who accuse ggg of ducking is hypocritical at best. In one case you have a guy turning the fight down outright and in the other case you have a guy who allegedly was willing to still make the fight but at a cw...but he's the duck? If you think like that, you don't get to talk about who's a fanboy.

I don't know what was offered because Golovkin is the only one who has really talked about it happening- Ward hasn't confirmed or denied it and a guy with an injured shoulder and promotional problems shouldn't have to defend himself as to why he turned down a fight during that time. But, apparently Golovkin fanboys don't see it that way.

                      Golvkin's own words:

“At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers – I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter – I’m not interested in the reason, I only heard your ‘no.’” Golovkin ended with some particularly harsh words aimed directly at his rival: “As a man, you are dead to me”.
