It would make absolutely no sense for Joshua to fight Wilder in the U.S., when he's drawing 90,000 people in the UK! However, that being said, if they want to make the most out of the PPV, the fight (main event) needs to be televised in the U.S. no earlier than 7:00PM EST in the U.S.! Now if Wilder whoops that azz, he has to come to the U.S. for the rematch! It would also help if the undercard is hot too, similar to Mayweather vs. Canelo and Mayweather vs. McGregor!

Lennox Lewis is one of the most bitter British fighters over here. But I understand why he was bitter, most fighters like him have egos and they don’t want to see anyone else do better than them. He said things that didn’t make any sense in regards to Joshua fighting in America. Firstly American HW scene is totally different to when Lewis was around, and Lewis wasn’t someone that generate money in the UK after he came back from Canada.

Times have changed since Toney was in his prime. U.K. has a huge boxing following now and a lot of talented fighters in recent years. The business side of boxing will dictate who fights where, or at all. We all know who the A-side is on this one and who holds the cards.

Joshua has the right to choose where, when, and who he is willing to fight, but he can't choose how the fans feel about his decisions. The way his reputation evolves is completely dependent upon where and who he decides to fight. His decision will effect his legacy. Will he be regarded as a brave 'fighting champion', or will fans put him into the same category as Adonis Stevenson? I don't expect him to make the right decision since he already seems determined to undermine the 'humble, nice guy' public image that his promoter had carefully created for him.

It not just the fact that Joshua and his team want to stay in the UK,
they want other notable fighters to accept peanuts as a purse, in relation to the amount of revenue that will be generated. It's understandable that Joshua wants to fight were he can make the most money, but he'll also have to be willing to share the wealth, so to speak. He has little incentive to travel to America, but he's also offering little incentive for his opponents to come to the UK. He wants to have his cake and eat it too, unfortunately, everybody deserves a slice.
