Or Calzaghe who spent most of his career in the UK and waited to the very end to beat a couple of old past prime big names in the us and get recognized as a top fighter who pretty much wasted his prime yrs fighting inferior competition.
The key thing here is that the talent in the heavyweight division isn't in America and it hasn't been for a long time.

If it's about fighters heading where the best in the world are at to prove themselves then Wilder needs to dust off his passport.

Of course, it's not actually about that, it's about where the money's at, which is why there's even a conversation about it taking place in the USA.

It's not about fighting in front of alleged empty aren'a, its about leaving the warm kitchen of home. AJ is being protected in the UK. I think it's pretty obvious. He needs to venture out into the jungle to truly stake his claim.

Its a fact that the US is the mecca of Boxing. It's the global scene. If AJ comes out here and starts staching cats, he'll make plenty of money.

I think he will. I hope for selfish reasons a Wilder fight happens in Vegas but until a Heavyweight in America can prove to be a ticket seller he has every right to stay over there.

I think he will fight in America in 2018, but like I said I think he has every right to stay there, unify the titles and then come to America as the holder of all the belts.

I don't understand why Lights out thinks AJ. should go to the states when their only decent fighter at heavy ,Wilder has very little popularity. He said they have the best there .....who James ? Miller and co.There's better fighters here in England.

"Come to the United States to see if you're a great fighter or not, because the US has got the best. The best has got to fight the best. Boxing is in the United States, not the UK, so if you want to be known for your real-boy skills, you have to come to the US." -James "Lights Out" Toney.

He has a point but if D.Wilder wants more $ then maybe he should go down there like Errol did to bring that title to the USA.

Lennox Lewis called AJ out for the same thing so AJ better start taking note.

James IS the man. His accomplishments don’t fade just because he’s older. He can still hold his head high. ATG. Not many men can come to this sport and say that. He shall always be in the discussion of one of the best defensive fighters EVER and the sport is over 300 years!!!

I agree. Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua are right. AJ is not a global superstar at the moment like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were. He's only regional with a marginalized audience. Outside of the U.K. In general and the U.S. In particular; He is not this mainstream, box office crossover draw that many tend to believe and neither is Deontay Wilder.
