They weren't the top 2 HW's at the same time for too long before they got it on. People thought Holyfield was shot before the first Tyson fight, Holyfield was then recognised as one of the top HW's after beating Tyson, less than 2 and a half years later he was in the ring with Lewis.

Lewis and Holyfield were the top 2 HW's at the same time for about 2.5 years before their fight. AJ and Wilder have been recognised as that for nearly 2 years, what's wrong with wanting them to get it on summer 2018? Why wait another 4 years or 8/9 years like you're suggesting with that nonsensical comparison?
Joshua won the belt in 2016 to suggest he is ducking anyone is nonsense . Both Holyfield and Lewis were fighting the top guys , Wilder is not . Lewis and Bowe never even fought ? lol

Wilder title defenses are laughable and its not up to the fans to change that its up too him no matter who or why he couldn't get fights made .

Tyson himself did not fight Holyfield from 1990 to 1995 for actual reasons bc of a prison sentance and hearsay of injuries and what seemed to be Lou Duvas reluctance to make the fight happen anyway .

I didnt say the fight should happen 8 years from now but anyone calling Joshua a duck if the fight sfight doesnt happen soon is simply new to the sport .

LOL. A king doesn't fight peasants. They just need to focus on Wilder versus Joshua and negotiating that.

what statement did wilder make? we were all laughing at this fight since it was anounced, we were all laughing at the fact that stiverne said he was dehydrated for this first one, we were all laughing at the fact that he was even fatter for this one. again, what statement did wilder make?

Yeah he did, and knocked that peasant unconscious in a single round. Unlike AJ, whose peasant he fought was still standing after 10 rounds wondering why the ref put him in a headlock.

But you guys keep thinking AJ KOs the REAL champ. Only in UK

He stated he wanted Joshua. King versus King. No peasants.

Never said Lewis and Bowe ever fought, said Holyfield lost twice to Bowe.

My point is AJ and Wilder are arguably considered the top 2 in the division at the moment, they both hold world titles, most if not all fans should want that fight to happen. Your response was that Lewis and Holyfield were pros for a long time before they got in the ring. Holyfield and Lewis were only at the top of the division at the same time for about 2.5 years before their fight happened, about the same duration of time AJ and Wilder will be at the top of the division around summer of 2018. There's nothing wrong with wanting the fight to happen in 2018, no one's ducking if it happens next year. Anyone who thinks the Holyfield-Lewis dynamic is comparable to AJ-Wilder is definitely new to the sport.

My first post in this thread had nothing to do with who's ducking who, I simply said it's strange that some fans, such as yourself seem content for this fight not to happen. I thought all fans of the sport will want to see this fight next year?

It was good work for Joshua, got rounds in the bank. Wilder will gain nothing from this mismatch.

Takam is active and a much better boxer than Stiverne, much harder to hit clean.

****** comparison really. You just have to look at them to know one is in shape and the other is an old bum.
