So many no name champions and now you have Kovalev fighting for the WBO belt against Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, who probably isnt even a top 10 guy in the division

Its like Miguel Cotto winning the WBO belt, he beat Yoshihiro Kamegai whos terrible and lost to ***in Alfonso Gomez. Hell Cotto at this point isnt even a top 5 guy in the LMW divsion.

Another example is Liam Smith being WBO champion, he beat some guy called John Thompson to become champ. Like is John Thompson is a top 10 guy or even World level?

Seems like they just give title shots to any bum, and feed that bum to popular champions who draw crowds like Canelo, Cotto etc

It's just looks like such a sham it's either going to a Top Rank or HBo affiliated fighter or maybe Frank Warren

Their Champ is usually the weakest in their division

At this point the IBo might have better set of Champions in Joshua, Eubank,Gennady , Lara

Then the top 4-6 champs the WBO has

And the Kov / Sham for a belt is a f.ucking joke

It depends who holds it. Joe Calzaghe held the WBO Super Middleweight title for over 10 years whilst ruling the division. The other titles were held hostage in Germany for long periods of time during Joe's reign. They were more like regional titles in comparison to the WBO.
