    • IF this was an exhibition fight, I would have no problem with it. The fact that Mayweather got a win on his record for fighting McGregor just burns me.

      • Geez so many people are jealous of Mayweather it’s crazy. If the fight was on HBO he would’ve been calling it the biggest event in boxing history. Take your meds and stop being so damn envious people. You telling me you guys would’ve turned down $300 million to fight a UFC guy? Of course not so stop being so hypocritical about it.

Back in August, the 40 year old Mayweather snapped a two year retirement to face McGregor, who was making his pro debut as a boxing, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

P.S. lol @ the people saying Mayweather would lose their respect if he came back again...as if the first 3 times weren't enough to realize nothing he says is set in stone if money is involved.
It did for the overall amount of money the network made, which surely affects his stock in the company. Also, he would've had the distinction of being on the 5 highest grossing PPV events all time, a nice feather in his cap.

No one is trying to have it both ways. It's common sense you moron. Floyd carried conor the early rounds. You are just disagreeing just because, not because you honestly think he did well.

Because he carried him, it made casual fans think conor did better than it looked on TV. we as real boxing fans know floyd was not doing his best.

Therefore, the casual fan wouldn't mind seeing it again, as opposed to floyd/manny or floyd/canelo where they saw floyd dominate guys that didn't look to even put up a fight.

but you just said the fight was more entertaining than with manny because conor actually tried. now you're saying floyd carried him, so which one is it?

plus, if manny didnt try, then how come floyd didnt stop him then? it would have been an easier fight if manny didnt try right? so what happen there?

Because Manny stopped throwing punches and kept in a defensive posture except for flurries in round 4 and 9.

WHy would he need to try and stop him? He was up 3-1 after 4 and 7-2 after 9. WHy is it necessary for him to turn it up when he had already established a huge lead?

Why didn't Manny fight harder or try to win knowing he was down on the cards by such a wide margin?

first, you and your cronies was saying all this is, is a money grab exhibitition match...now, out your mouth, conor mcgregor was actually trying to win harder than seasoned professionals like pac and alvarez, despite the fact that his stamina couldn't carry him barely 6 rounds...

lampley was just making a prediction, based on floyd's penchant for no risk, high reward fights, and the truth stings apparently...
Yes, it was a cash grab. Most of us on this site agree it was so I don't know what the issue is.

That isn't what I said. I'm beginning to think you can't read.

I said the casual fan public perception was that he fought harder than both manny and canelo. That perception doesn't take into consideration floyd carried conor. which we, the real boxing fans, know.

As for the fights, Canelo and Manny stopped throwing punches. You can't pretend otherwise. Conor kept throwing, but again, this was in part because Floyd wasn't countering him as he would a seasoned pro.

No he wasn't. But of course you would say so because Manny fans need a negative narrative since Floyd so easily defeated him and the rest of his contemporaries.

That bothers you guys so much.

so manny is a defensive wizard now?? i thought pac lacks defense or so the floyd fans say on here? so floyd didnt even try to break thru manny's guard?? why didnt floyd try to break thru manny's guard??

i mean that's what you and the floyd fans said when pac fans complain that all floyd did was run, yall said it was pac's job to hunt floyd down. you cant have it both ways my dude.

if manny didnt try then the fight would have been over. so floyd didnt even try to stop manny even thought pac gave up already? LOL
