Spence vs Cotto would have been a huuuuuge fight. A spence win would have made him a superstar. Then spence vs Canelo would have been the fight fans would have been clamoring for. Spence would have been smart to sign to gbp.

It might be a bad move but yesterday my boy csame over to watch the fights with me and had no clue who any of the fighters were. No promoter, no exposure. He might be getting he paid good money but the average fan doesn’t know who this kid is, fast money isn’t always the best money. He needs to be marketed

I did say the average fan, didn’t I? Most people aren’t like me, I follow boxing down to amatures but most people only know the popular fighters. Boxers unless promoted aren’t well known. UFC promotes their fighters they don’t just show their fights on free tv that’s why they can build a no name quickly. Spense can make good money but can be built to make great money. He needs to be promoted.

The Cotto fight is automatically a benefit for his career. Unless Haymon is offering a possible Mayweather fight, then everything I said in my previous post in mute.

Good fights on the PBC side but no life-changing opportunities unless he fights Mayweather. Plus dude really needs a promoter to actually promote him.

According to Locomex he's 3.5 mil for Peterson, something he wouldn't touch for Cotto. Hell he's rated higher than Cotto on everyone's list so its not like he's getting a major scalp.
