And for what its worth, I reckon a draw was the best Hatton deserved.

why do peeps keep saying if lacy had landed a shot on calzaghe he wouldve of won, the fact is that he didnt so stop saying if and buts. and for the record i wanted calzaghe to lose because he always dodges fights and has been seriously protected. i even put money on lacy to win.

I'd have loved to see Calzaghe against a prime Benn, Eubank or Watson. Absolutely loved it. You could argue who'd win all day and night, but they were/are all very special.

It seems to me as if there is always an excuse for Lacy losing " he was off , he didnt look like himself". Well thats wat happens when u fight a good fighter, u cant always do what u wanna do and he will make u fight his type of fight and look **** which is what happened. It shows lacy is not an adaptable fighter at the moment and is not as experienced as i thought he was.

Lacy and Shaw both got what they deserved in that one, talking all that **** about how Calzaghe is nothing. I picked Lacy to win and was mad that it was so one-sided because I spent weeks telling all my friends how good it would be. Most of them left by the 8th round it was such a shut out. I couldn't believe Lacy was that one dimensional. I mean a lot of people said he was one-dimensional but DAMN he didn't come close to winning one minute of one round of that fight. Biggest shut out I've ever seen in a high stakes fight.

He would not have been saying that had Lacy landed a single good punch the entire fight........Or put together his combos like he normally does.I take nothing away from Calzaghe tho great performance but that was not the Real Jeff Lacy that night.

man that's no excuse at all because Lacy did not come in injured or weight-drained or having personal problems. he was 100% focused and got dismantled by a really great fighter. I honestly think Lacy won't be the same after that. his stock as a fighter has probably hit nearly rock bottom unless he can bounce back with a big knockout over Kessler or Manfredo. if not, I think Lacy might have missed the big time.

on a side note, I have no idea why that one "sports world" commercial chose Lacy to represent boxing because Lacy hadn't even won a real big fight yet. if he had beat Calzaghe, I could see it. he jumped the gun for his superstardom and probably will never get it now.
