Naw, I mean anybody up to cruiserweight seems to be Mikey's next possible opponent. It wasn't that many fights ago that MG was ****ing guys out at 130 lbs and now I'm hearing anything from light weight up to Cotto and who knows where else. He surely needs to chill at 140lbs for now or even just ko some mofos at lightweight.

If he was going to do that then it was to his benefit to let Floyd **** him in the ass for more money.Comment

Man, the haterade is strong with this one.
Garcia scared of Cotto? Gamboa?:hilarious::hilarious:
First you act like he is cherrypicking Cotto, then you say him claiming to go up to 154 to is bull**** like moving up that much to fight the same guy is a big deal and something hes scared of. So which is it? He wanted to pick a certain cherrypick, but was too scared to go up 2/3 weightclasses for said cherrypick?
You better hope Garcia doesnt get the fights he wants. Or you'll be shutting up your fat hater mouth real fast.Comment

Im not fan of cotto garcia or ali at all, my point is garcia had no intention of fighting cotto in the first place, he just calls out the big names for publicity and also it doesnt make any business sense for gb to give garcia the fight instead of ali. As a boxing fan i personally would like to see cotto spark garcia out. I used to be a fan of garcias till he ducked gamboa and ran to protective custody with haymonComment

There goes that myth again that arum was screwing over Pacquiao. Can you explain and provide a link to back that up? Because last time I checked pacquiao was making 20-30 million a fight since 2009 after he beat de la hoya and he even made 20 million plus to fight Algieri, Brandon Rios and everyone else up until his last 2 fights. Hes one of the highest paid athletes in history of any sport and is second only to mayweather in boxing earnings so please explain how arum screwed him over?Comment

what's wrong with this?? if you aint fighting for me, why am i gonna give you the benefit of doubt and work with you and most likely get to do almost everything (promotions, etc.)? and mikey will most likely demand a big piece of the split too. this should let fighters who are thinking about becoming a free agent that it aint an easy road.Comment

Second of all Cotto is a huge star in Nyc and will sell out pretty much regardless of who he fights. In addition Ali is from Nyc so naturally that is where his fanbase is. Your crazy to think Cotto Garcia would be a crossover fight, it wouldn't even be a ppv fight lol. Im sure it would do a little better than Cotto Ali but Cotto will still sell in Nyc and Hbo will still pay multimillion dollar license fee whether he fights Ali or Garcia.
Lastly why would Golden Boy give Mikey Garcia this big fight and this kind of exposure? What do they gain from it? They have their own fighters that need fights and money and exposure. If they gave it to Garcia and he wins he goes on to bigger fights and golden boy doesn't benefit at all. Giving the fight to Ali not only gives a Golden boy fighter money and exposure, but also a chance to get bigger fights afterwards if he does well. Mikey just wants the freedom to cherry pick whatever fighter he wants and not have to answer to a promoter which is why he ran from Top Rank when they offered him a million dollars to fight Gamboa 3 years ago. My question is why would they allow Mikey to potentially use them as a stepping stone when he's offering nothing in return? He always calls out big names and then ends up fighting guys he knows he can beat. He's trying to use the Mayweather blueprint before He's Even earned his bones by fighting the tough fights like mayweather did. This is not even mentioning the fact that hes only fought once at 140, once at 135, and a Catchweight at 138 and the rest of his career was spent at 130 and now He's claiming he would go all the way up to 154 to fight Cotto. I guarantee he had no intention of taking this fight in the first place, like I said he always calls out the big names and ends up cherry picking which is why he wanted to run from top rank. Sadam Ali has fought at 147 his whole career and its a no brainer why Golden Boy would give him the fight over Garcia
He had every intention of taking the fight. Even Golden Boy admits that. What are you talking about? You're making up stuff in your head. Check back in to realityComment

The reason I think Mikey has a point is that Cotto, a golden boy client, would probably make more money fighting him than fighting Sadam Ali. So why should GB be able to use the fight as leverage to sign Mikey long term when Mikey already represents the best deal for Cotto?Comment
