Loma isn't popular that's just a fact. 700k viewers on ESPN says he isn't.

yeah if he comes ina cting like its going to be a walk in the park hes got another thing coming. Hes a supremely talented fighter but rigo looks to be too. saying that i just think its going to be a nice style match up for lomachenko to outwork him to points decision although wont be easy.

The dude before that was a bum and before that he knocked out a guy who was knocked out by the guy who beat him!

He avoided Mikey Garcia by not moving up to 135 to fight him, calls himself p4p but wont ever fight Bud who sits at 140. A real p4p champion moves up divisions to take out the best fighters ala Ward. Lomachenko will continue to fight fighters that are at a disadvantage either physically or mentally and his gullible fans will eat that **** up and coronate him as the p4p great.

Loma fought Salido in only his second pro fight and he still went ahead with it even after Salido cheated on the weight and came in 11lbs heavier on the night!

And why criticise him for accepting a call out from Rigo?

Would you shit on Mikey or Crawford if Loma called them out and they accepted his callenge?

Let's face it, this is a cash out for Rigo, i doubt even he expects to beat Loma at 130.

The concern is how much his inactivity and poor opposition has eroded his skills. Lomachenko isnt unbeatable thats for sure, maybe hes starting to believe his own hype with his showboating and criticising other fighters. Not sure rigo has the style to beat him though, although when someone like roach says hes the best talent hes ever seen, you cant really count him out of any fight.
Eight pounds is a lot of weight. When you're already topped out, it's an insurmountable weight. If your maximum bench press is 315 pounds, even one more pound added is too much to lift. I know the analogy doesn't translate directly to boxing, but you get the point. Where world class athletes are concerned, the balance can be razor-thin. We can agree there's a limit to how high Rigo can go. At what point is the rise too much? It could very well be eight pounds.

I don't disagree. Rigo's career is nearly over, and he knows it. He and his team must surely see that this might be his last chance at a fat paycheck.

Yup, can't knock him for it. I'd like to see him beat Loma, but i think he gets stopped mid to late rounds.

In the end it's about making money. Legacy and all that is less important. A fighter has a very limited time to earn what he needs to support himself for the rest of his life. There won't be any fans there to make donations after you're retired.

I'm hoping Rigo goes the distance. I'll consider it a minor victory if he does.

Rigo had an opportunity to fight him at 126, he waved it off. No excuses now. If Loma beats him, it is a clean win and he deserves all the credit due to him.
