Who knows. These fighters are loyal as he'll to Al though, they love the guy. Where else are Hearn and HBO going to go? Hearn doesn't have the stable to offer HBO and HBO desperately needs fighters. Haymon has all the cards..

Yea idk I'm just saying I don't think its a definite or even a probable thing to happen. Will be interesting to see that first show to see how it is presented among other things I'm curious how Hearn does them in the US vs the UK.

Don't know what that'll mean for the PBC brand, but like I've been saying since the start because Haymon has a adivisor relationship with all these guys he can take a very fluid approach with promoter/network relationships from what he's been doing to what it appears he might be doing now with these recent Frampton + Jacobs situations. Haymon fighters can be as connected or disconnected from promoters & networks as they waanna be.
I think the PBC brand is in the early stages of being fazed out. Haymon now knows the UFC model will not work in boxing. Resources are thin for everyone and you have to work together with others

Cant you guys see whats going on here? Pbc has failed utterly and has been quickly winding down. It was a flawed business model to begin with doing time buys on different networks and 4/5 of them showcase fights.
The same guys saying Haymon is a genius for this were the same ones saying he was a genius for Pbc. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out 9/10 of his fighters have only been fighting once a year, and not one network besides showtime is interested in Pbc. If hes a mastermind then im a pro bowl Nfl quarterback.
Haymon squandered such a good opportunity, Bob Arum is the real genius and keeps showing everyone how its really done.

Sadly that is true and wow are these casual boxing fans here incredily silly. I mean it's not just a difference of opionions, some of these guys here (Not all) have to be 14 yrs old with the type of comments they make.

You read my mind except I think its already the late stages. He went from having a card damn near every week on many different networks to now every couple months with just a couple networks. His fighters havent barely had any fights and now they are starting to sign promotional agreements, and not his lower level guys jacobs and frampton are pretty big draws. The Showtime fights will still probably be called Pbc just to save face.

Also I think his model would have worked if he would have only put on popular and competitive fights. He was spending many millions on advertising for complete mismatches or boring fights. Good fights sell themselves like garcia thurman, thurman porter ect. He had the talent he just didnt know how to leverage it because hes really not a genius or a mastermind. Also it should have been on one network like Cbs and then maybe they would have been willing to pay for it.

Yeah, I don't see that either. I don't think we can expect anything new with PBC until the UFC stuff is cleared up. I still think FS1 is going to be the landing spot. Shared a sports business journal article not too long ago talking about the content landscape. If BIG3 basketball (averaging like 160k views per showing) is being paid for, why do people think a boxing platform won't? It's not a matter of if, but how much.

Either way it's still not a solution for all of Haymon's guys, so this deal makes sense imo. I expect more for some of his "premium" fighters.

I agree Fox/FS1 seems to be the next big PBC deal. Will probably be bigger than the HBO entire budget lol
