I had the first fight a draw. Basically I had Taylor winning 5 of the first 6 rounds and Hopkins winning 5 of the second half of the fight.
I had Hopkins winning the second fight by a razor thin margin. I had a couple of rounds even 10-10 because nothing happened in those rounds. Such little happened in that second fight that neither really deserved to win it.

Fair enough, but nowhere in there did I say "he was the champion so he deserved the decision." I'm not even in the "Ford cost Hopkins a draw" camp because I don't think it should have come down to that. Trust your own eyes, fine, but Taylor fans and Hopkins haters know what really happened. Reread my post, just because Taylor was doing more in the first half of the fight, doesn't mean he was winning. Hell, by that argument, didn't Soliman dominate Winky??? EFFECTIVENESS is more important than raw AGGRESSIVENESS.

As far as the second fight, I've only seen it twice, and I had Hopkins winning 7-5 in rounds, a closer fight IMO, and I need to see it again before I analyze any more. We all know the fight wasn't that great, so watching it a third time isn't exactly on my to-do list.

The ESPN poll had Taylor winning by a big margin & that's the biggest poll on the net. End of this thread, Taylor won both fights.

Taylor won both fights because of the way boxing is scored.

imo the sport might benefit from a bit more flexibility in its judging. For example, Hopkins had Taylor nearly floored in round 10 of fight #1. Yet he only wins that round by the same score as those that Taylor stole in the early going.

You outland a guy 2-1 and you get the same 10-9 score as when you outland a guy 20-1. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I say a dominant performance deserves a 10-8 score even if a KD isn't scored. You apply that type of scoring to the first fight and the situation is much different.

Hopkins fans need to get over this ****, just because Hopkins feels its robbed the fans would say he is robbed too, he started late and he lost both of the fights, please get over it and stop crying, its been discussed many times, the ESPN Poll had 63% of people that felt Taylor won both fights and some other polls too, the majory of the people feel taylor won, while the minority (fans of hopkins) feel that hopkins won.

Taylor has been treated horribly by the mainstream press, though. The Ring barely acknowledges his presence. They won't put him in their p4p list, even though he beat their #1 fighter twice.

hopkins won both of those fights ,

the 2nd fight was a lil closer, but again taylor was on the verge of being knocked out... and his face was on swole ... taylor won ? bull****
Just so your dumbass knows, you have to win 7 rounds to win the fight, not 4. In boxing we score fights by rounds, not by damage dealt in a few rounds. I'm sure you'll catch on, new guy.

I don't think I can respect anyone who had Hopkins winning the 2nd fight. You should not be allowed to score fights if you think Hopkins WON either of them to be honest. Maybe a draw in the first fight but no way a victory when Taylor won 7 of the first 8 rounds.
