I'm not a fan of either, I was just happy the fight was finally made. I saw a poll on ESPN that said nearly 90% of professional MMA and boxing athletes had GGG winning the fight. Fans of either fighter who have never fought any sort of amateur or professional fights (probably 99+ percent of message board sites) picked their respective favorite fighter as the winner. That being said, if you (Canelo fan I'm guessing?) think Golovkin has been steadily declining and he still at 35 fought-- and in many minds, decisively beat Canelo, then what does that say about Canelo?

Canello needs GGG to get older

Everyone knew GGG was going to get screwed...and he did.

I'm inclined to agree with you about mostly all of this post. I absolutely believe Canelo wanted the fight a year or two ago. GGG said in an interview a week before the actual fight that he ran into Canelo last year and gave him **** about not making the fight after he said he wanted it in the ring and the quote that Golovkin claims Canelo said back was, "G, you know that's not me. That's the promoters (Oscar) not making it." And I believe Golovkin and I believe Canelo and that he wanted it. It appeared Oscar was just trying to move GGG a little further along in age. There really isn't any other logical way to argue it, because Canelo was as ready then as he was last week. I was disappointed in Oscar's handling, because Khan and Chavez Jr were horrible precursors to fighting someone like Gennady Golovkin.

His promotional team says he probably won't fight again until May, and it may not be against Golovkin. I don't think they want that rematch quite yet. And I don't think Golovkin gives it to them if they try to wait until September, so I don't think there will be a rematch. I'd reckon Canelo will probably go back to 155 to dominate that weight class, and GGG will fight Saunders to unify. I also don't think GGG fights in December. That's a quick less than 3 months away. I agree with you--and I had no dog in this fight, I just wanted to see it; Canelo didn't seem to look like he felt that he won. Mannerisms in the ring after, the post fight presser and at ***el for the after party. That wasn't a disappointed about the draw look. That was genuine shock. I don't think he expected Golovkin to hold up to his counters and stalk him down round after round. Canelo is an amazing boxer and very prideful, but I don't see him saying he doesn't want the rematch. De La Hoya will have him fight another fighter or two and talk about how a deal couldn't be reached in classic Oscar fashion. If rematched and he lost, he'd have 2 losses and 2 draws on his record which isn't a lot, but I think it would ruin the image Oscar is trying to create. Since Floyd they try to keep all of these fighters close to 0 in the loss columns and not making the best fights at the best times. Wilder's handlers are a good example of this (love watching that guy box, by the way).

We'll see. I know Canelo wanted the initial fight and it wasn't him delaying it. At least I firmly believe that. I have to say just looking at him after this fight I'm not so sure right now he wants to fight again. He'll have some time to relax and let things settle but He just gave me a vibe that said damn that was really tough.

I have a lot of respect for Canelo. I just saw a guy IMO after that fight who really didn't feel he won. His body language and face just didn't have that "I did it". At the end of the fight he just doesn't have the look I expect of a winner. His trainer almost had to lift him up.

If Golovkin is ready I hope he fights in December. I hope he doesn't delay his career because I don't know how many more years he has.

As for Canelo I hope he gets back in the ring as soon as he is ready. If he isn't wanting a rematch I hope he doesn't play it out so everyone can do their own thing. This isn't just about Canelo and Golovkin but the whole MW division.

                      No need for a rematch.
So Jacobs and Nelo are more than average since he beat them, at least according to most people/judges (minus adelaide) and compubox.

He's obviously slowing down, the eye test doesn't lie.

Either he's not getting physically better by the age of 35. Pressure fighters don't really peak over 32/33 let alone 35...

If you were a bit correct and non biased towards triple, if you knew boxing, you would admit it.

You are roasting a guy who holds 4 belts in a division.

Calling GGG a fraud and a duck having Tank in your avy, you're obviously a TMT idiot so I don't know why I'm losing time explaining you boxing.

I guess you had Nelo winning.

Any person having Nelo winning is a POS or ******, period.
