Canelo landed all those punches, only one to hit glove was the last left hook. Canelo was the harder puncher all night. Didn't respect gggs power as evedince of him going to the ropes challenging ggg. Ggg did nothing

You're probably right, but at least my "lost a step" argument generously let's Golovkin's fans have the benefit of the doubt that he may (once upon a time) have been as good as they thought he was. But no, they're too stubborn to accept an excuse that let's them save their dignity.

The "lost a step" thing started with the Brook fight (who was a little better than anyone Golovkin has fought up to that point). Then it was Jacobs and now Canelo. As the competition got better, he was made to look lost and very average.

Mind you, these boxers aren't even THAT great..
