I had the best seat in the house with the best glasses money can buy in the house. You think some armchair critic scorecard is better than that of an official Las Vegas judge with several years of experience?

Golovkin was supposed to kill Canelo but last I checked you don't kill anyone with a jab which is why I don't count them.
Do you follow that policy for all fighters, or only for those who are supposed to kill their opponents?

If Canelo had landed any jabs on GGG would you have counted them?

There were no clear rounds for either guy, they were all pretty even. I scored it GGG 120 - Canelo 108

This fight was a lot closer than people think. you can easily give Canelo the first three rounds and i have no problem with scoring the last three rounds for canelo as well. that's a tie in itself. no robbery at all. People are assuming that GGG was somehow dominate because he was the aggressor but a lot of GGG punches were ineffective and a lot of punches missed. I admire GGG'S will and determination but also thought that Canelo looked great at times defensively.
A lot of GGG's fans are casuals that turned into hardcores during the Floyd-Manny drama. Obviously they were pro-Manny in those days. And they have very little understanding of boxing. They assume that if a guy is moving, he's scared and running. But they don't penalize GGG for not cutting the ring off, which he's usually really good at, and properly cutting off Canelo's escape routes. Which also opened GGG up to walking into flush counters all night. And that was pretty much the story of the fight. GGG lost the tactical matchup in nearly every round. And the rounds he did win where the ones you had to give him because Canelo wasn't active enough. GGG's fans also have this belief that just because Gennady was never visibly buzzed, the shots he was hit with somehow don't count. But they also don't acknowledge that GGG never visibly buzzed Canelo. We're supposed to ignore the bombs Canelo hit GGG with because Gennady has a great chin. But want to give max credit to GGG for landing jabs.

I have no problem with scoring the fight for GGG. Personally, I'm glad he didn't suffer his first L. Because in the last third of the fight. Canelo basically did the Leonard-Hagler shoeshine at the beginning of each round. And survived the rest of the round. It's good strategy. But to me that kinda undermines the essence of competition. That said, acting like GGG suffered some Lara-Williams type robbery is just ridiculous

Yep. Pretty much. This ee-diott needs to watch the fight again, alone, without any commentary, no compubox, nothing but him in a room OBJECTIVELY watching the fight again. The only problem was the 118-110 card. Period. If it were a 2 point score card, no problem. Loeffler just needs to pipe down and accept the fact his golden child isn't the badazz boogyman anymore. The code has been cracked.

It wasn't her, just someone using the name and arguing from her perspective with a level of sarcasm that one could drown in (had best glasses there.....jabsdon't count......controversy caused by other judges not scoring for Canelo).

ie not a Byrd supporter at all......quite the opposite

Man, Sanchez , GGG, and his team are starting to go too far now. They are starting to look like fools. Why not go after the judge who scored it 115-113, because it was not wide enough for them. Maybe if GGG, did not use his face as a punching bag during the fight then the cards could of been more to their liking. Maybe if GGG went to Canelo's body or landed more power punches instead of jabs then maybe the scoring would of been more in his favor. Maybe GGG nees to be reminded that walking through punches means you are getting tagged and walking thru punches is not a scoring criteria in favor of the guy getting smacked around.

Lmfao, it can be hard to pick up on sarcasm through a screen but that was pretty damn obvious now you made me aware, thanks.
Thing is, what he/he said made sense how byrd came up with a ridicolous score card... i guess they fooled me with wit.

If judges didn't score jabs, there would be NO way John Famacheon could have ever won a world title. If you haven't heard of him, look up some clips on youtube, he had a different/interesting method.
