"Those who made straight (win/lose) bets on either fighter were refunded because of the draw, unlike the wagers on the method-of-victory prop bets.
I bet the over so had no worries. Didn't even pick a fighter...Comment

Well the one thing I do know about Mexican fans (having lived there a couple of years) is when you go diva, you're not one of them any more. I did notice Canelo refer to himself in the third person the other day, and that's a REALLY bad sign. I was a long time Cotto fan until he started doing that, then was on the bus out of Cottoville real fast.
Hopefully someone gives Canelo some PR lessons. His dedication to the sport is at a legendary level, but he can screw up his support base really easy by being a ****.Comment

A friend sent me a screen shot of ESPN's official instagram that had posted a pic of GGG after the fight that said, "Still undefeated. Still the champ." which means that even ESPN aside from Rafael over there saw him as the clear winner. I guess Oscar de la Arum was right, fans WILL be talking about this fight for years lol (thanks Byrd).Comment

Abel gets the biggest paycheck of his life, yet he whines. And noticed he didn't say jack about how he couldn't even train his fighter how to properly cut off the ring? Geez, everyone agrees Adelaide Byrd's scorecard was ridiculous, but it isn't like Canelo didn't win some rounds. And GGG took a bunch of punches with his face, usually reserved for being a face, and not a punching bag. I had GGG by a point, but this was a fight that could've gone either way.Comment

First off, hats off to boxingscene for not showing bias.
It was a close fight. Canelo out power punched the power puncher by like 5 punches and GGG landed like 50 more jabs but missed a heck of a lot more than he usually does. GGG was the busier guy but was ineffectively aggressive. Furthermore, Canelo was the ring general. Lastly, this fight was nowhere near a robbery, either guy could've won depending what you like from the stats and the dynamic in the ring. Oh, and showing outrage now and being indifferent to the De la Hoya - Trinidad decision(the fight in which Oscar was the ring general, unlike GGG, and, the fight where Oscar had a colossal lead in the stats, unlike GGG again), or saying Tito won, looks really bad and diminishes credibility greatly at best. Some of the writers from other sites make it so easy to expose them. LOL! Thank you boxingscene for doing a great job!
