I was there and the booing was bad. A lot of people i spoke to weren't too upset about the draw, though they think GGG won, but most of it was that 118-110 card.

Just read they refunded straight bets. Damn!! I still have my ticket with my $500 bet on Canelo! Wonder if i can get it back!

I guess boxing should be reduced to standing in the middle of the ring and trade punches with no guard until one gets knocked out

But for sure, a primarily Mexican crowd cheering Golovkin and booing Canelo at the end - that was shocking. Not sure I've seen that before, and pretty sure Canelo hasn't. Of all things in the fight, that would have hurt him more than anything Golovkin landed.

Can never figure out why boxers never do the smart thing and say something like 'I gave it everything I had tonight and it wasn't enough, I just want to apologise to my fans for not bringing the belts home to Mexico'. He could have also just said 'I also want to apologise for that scorecard, it insults everyone here, Gennady, my team, and also me'.

If he had done that the crowd would have cheered him. Easy.

Instead, the crowd got insulted, and he effectively endorsed the insult. Not smart.

He was outlanded in round 1 and couldn't get past GGG's jab so he started to retreat... because Canelo isn't good enough at avoiding a jab and coming forward... when you have a good jab, Canelo just retreats rather than slipping it and coming forward...

GGG clearly won that fight.. the fact that Boxing community feels the need to make it seem as if it were a close fight just demonstrates how insecure the entire Boxing community is about its **** show for a sport...biggest fight in a while was a clear UD for GGG.

Real Mexican fans booed because they're real boxing fans. They may ride for their guy but most know boxing and know a bs scorecard when they see one. It's the Canelo fan boys that will argue that Canelo deserved to win and defend his every move regardless/statement of how ridiculous it is.

If Floyd and McGregor played out exactly as GGG v. Canelo with Floyd being GGG - everyone would be saying that Floyd won 10-2 or 9-3...but because it was Canelo and the Boxing community was hyping it, they can't admit that Canelo clearly lost because they need to cling to sell a rematch..

I find it funny that he criticized bot Floyd and lara for running in their fights. but tried to fight in that same style against GGG. When max asked about it he said he was "there all night to fight" and again got booed.

On aanother note I don't see canelo knocking out anyone at 160. Hes made his career off of beating smaller guys. similar to Oscar. The first time he fights a guy bigger than him with some legit power he does his best mayweather impression. I don't see him beating charlo or Jacobs but he can certainly out box the lemieuxs and rosados of the division
Agreed. Well said. Got to work and even all co workers said GGG got robbed. He should have got the win.

It should only be reduced to that when Canelo is fighting Lara or Mayweather...

not at all impossible. canelos best success came in the middle of the ring he was avoiding punches and countering beautifully only problem was GGG wasnt backing down and that pressure started to wear him down and forced him to go to the ropes majority of the fight.

I would love to see some KOs from Golovkin again, but I like the fact that even though he hasn't put his last two opponents away, he still fights hard to win rounds.

A lot of fighters with GGG level power get discouraged when they step up and their opponents are still standing after getting punched on the chin. He proved he has great cardio and can fight hard for 12 rounds.
Yup same here. It's great experience and shows that he can actually go into the later rounds without tiring out.
