but did Canelo hurt the one dimensional fighter that walk tru his punches like it was nothing ?
He was landing the cleaner, the BEST shots of the round, that's undeniable. ggg was getting his head all over the place, and body punching Canelo absolutely dominated.
I realized when they introduced Canelo 1st that there was too much money in his future for boxing as a big draw and that GGG was going to get screwed unless he got a KO. And when I heard the ridiculous HBO commentary and how hard they were selling Canelo...I hard even less doubt that was going to be the case.
Canelo was physically and mentally beat by the second half. He got his ass kicked and the decision was shameful. It was an Dependence Day gift for Mexicans who I guess paid for the fight. The fans were booing Canelo when they interviewed him and the majority were there to support him.
ggg wasn't connecting enough, most of his punches were caught on Canelo's guard or flat out missed. Canelo was landing THE best punches round after round.
Coming forward doesn't win you the round if you're constantly getting countered, missing punches too. And Canelo absolutely mauled ggg's body, you don't count body punching?
I gave ggg 4 rounds, 5 max and that's being generous.
seriously all these people get blinded by harold 'i score rounds by who hits harder' lederman, and think walking forward is a scoring criteria
