May 15, 2015 Sulaiman: Cotto-Canelo Winner Must Face Golovkin
July 4, 2015 Cotto-Canelo super fight being set for November
late July, 2015 "the offer was very, very clear - that he(ggg) and Andre would both have one fight before they fought each other, and they would fight each other sometime in the first half of 2016. So obviously the fight with Lemieux would continue to move forward and the next fight would be Andre in 2016 -roc nation president
you can stop with the whole ggg ducked ward thing now. its clear what happened. fan fiction goodbye!
misc notes: i say late july because ggg-lemiuex was signed on july 25 and apparently the offer was made within a couple days of that point. possibly before but either way the point stands. everyone knew the schedule of events and yet he still made an offer that makes absolutely no sense and conflicts with ggg fighting the cotto canelo winner. case closed.Last edited by daggum; 04-09-2020, 11:41 AM.Comment

PHYSICALLY SPEAKING, if GGG had a hard time with Canelo or Jacobs, there's no way he could handle Andre Ward who is physically bigger than all of them. The fault is Team GGG for years saying 154-168 was easy. Let's just admit their marketing campaign was tacky. The guy never set foot at all at 168.
''Ward...too mash for me..not today. Andre is Andre and me is me.'' - GGG (ESnews for Geale prep fight, open workout)
if not ''today'' in 2014 FFS when? You guys should lend your pair to GGG. GGG still ducking 168, Canelo doing that guy a favor for his network contractor just to give him another fight at 160 when the Mexican just fought at 175. lol.
No Plant, No Benavidez, No Smith, No BJS.
GGG is just hype. It's a shame Ward was ever a narrative. 164 doe...Comment

ok that was a stream of consciousness but when did ggg duck ward? it was laid out pretty clearly right above you. scroll up. ward never made a serious offer. now did ggg stop pursuing the ward fight in a serious manner? sure you could say that but those are two diferent things. you are quoting a guy who says me is me as some kind of proof? are you serious? the way the fan fiction has spread on here is that ward really wanted to fight ggg, made him a great offer, and ggg turned it down. that didnt happen.PHYSICALLY SPEAKING, if GGG had a hard time with Canelo or Jacobs, there's no way he could handle Andre Ward who is physically bigger than all of them. Dude, don't blame forum members for what HBO's OWN marketing tactics did in the post fight interview when GGG beat Proksa. Kellerman asked him would face a guy like Ward. GGG said ''why not..I'll fight anyone.'' Abel said he could even go up to 175.ok that was a stream of consciousness but when did ggg duck ward? it was laid out pretty clearly right above you. scroll up. ward never made a serious offer. now did ggg stop pursuing the ward fight in a serious manner? sure you could say that but those are two diferent things. you are quoting a guy who says me is me as some kind of proof? are you serious? the way the fan fiction has spread on here is that ward really wanted to fight ggg, made him a great offer, and ggg turned it down. that didnt happen.
Be honest, Daggum, it's not about GGG for you. You just don't like Andre Ward. Ok.. we get it.
At this point GGG was a no hoper. Look at the current P4P list. Look how many multiple weight champions there are. stop it. and yet GGG is still at 160 draining... ffsComment
