What a load of bollocks many mandatory have fought other fights and haven't been stripped of their spot. Golovkin wasn't only a mandatory he was the interim champion. They would have had to strip Golovkin and they wouldn't have done that.

PHYSICALLY SPEAKING, if GGG had a hard time with Canelo or Jacobs, there's no way he could handle Andre Ward who is physically bigger than all of them. The fault is Team GGG for years saying 154-168 was easy. Let's just admit their marketing campaign was tacky. The guy never set foot at all at 168.

ok that was a stream of consciousness but when did ggg duck ward? it was laid out pretty clearly right above you. scroll up. ward never made a serious offer. now did ggg stop pursuing the ward fight in a serious manner? sure you could say that but those are two diferent things. you are quoting a guy who says me is me as some kind of proof? are you serious? the way the fan fiction has spread on here is that ward really wanted to fight ggg, made him a great offer, and ggg turned it down. that didnt happen.

Dude, don't blame forum members for what HBO's OWN marketing tactics did in the post fight interview when GGG beat Proksa. Kellerman asked him would face a guy like Ward. GGG said ''why not..I'll fight anyone.'' Abel said he could even go up to 175.
