When a boxer and his team keep mentioning a fighter saying they'd like to fight him, then put up road blocks and turn down offers. That's a duck.

Golovkin said "not now...Ward is too much"

Much as in quantity? Why didn't Golovkin say Ward wasn't even active when making that interview in 2014?

Golovkin CLEARLY knows how to say "not, now, much, focus, real, great, too, know, fans want, true P4P, no problem...."

That's not a duck. Calzaghe Ottke I'd call a duck. Bowe Lewis is a duck, not Ward GG.

Deep down, fighting Ward P4P#1 with a weight disadvantage especially when you might be able to get a super fight against Cotto or a mega fight against Canelo is just ****** if you have any sense of financial preservation. So I won't say GGG was exactly chasing that fight. However, the little evidence given by GGG haters is highly circumstantial and proves nothing. The main argument is GGG said he'd fight anyone from 154 - 168. But if I'm not mistaken he said who is also huge draw and brings money, which Ward doesn't as we saw against Kovalev. Haters always leave that part out.

The next argument is he should have forced Cotto to purse bid. Like yea, Cotto would have given up a $15 mill payday to fight a much tougher opponent for at most a $4-5 mill payday so he can keep holding on to WBC's trinket which he eventually dropped anyway.

The last major argument...but he wanted 164 for Ward and not Froch. Yea, because Ward was difficult to work with and pretended he was A side and tried to hustle K2 like he did main events. So they 164 IF you want 50/50. If no 50/50, as it shouldn't have been, then it doesn't necessarily need to be 164. Negotiations never got that far though because K2 moved on to Lemiuex. They said maybe in 2017 and Ward decided to move up, not K2's fault

None of these facts matter to haters and so an argument with them is pointless.

This is one of those topics people need to let go of. Ward couldn't make 168 at the time and even had a tough go of making 172. If this fight was going to happen at 168 it should've happened long ago when Ward would've made 168 safely. All respect to Andre, he's a great champion and person but he talked his @zz off when he knew he wasn't going to be able to make 168 and put up his best performance. Could he have won? Maybe but if he doesn't it's just another hot mess of an argument from both sides. Golovkin has only mentioned 168 or 154 in situations where he would've been greatly compensated for the effort. He was never going to go to either of those weights to make the same or even less money. Both fighters postured and the internet picked their side in the argument.

Give it a rest, jeez. You're not gonna change the minds of the people who think he did, and they're not going to change your mind. If people actually care to know what happened they can look it up themselves.

what evidence? if negotiations FAIL for whatever reasons most likely due to who's A or B sides has what the foook to do with the simple fact that GGG ang mgmt has boasted about 154-168 since 2013 man...

look at GGG's frame ffs, Ward is bigger than him...

''Ward is too much for me....Andre is Andre...me is me...''

is Golovkin referring to time or size? wtf!? lol

Not only this, but no one REALLY wanted to see GGG vs Ward. Just the Floyd dorks that wanted to see GGG lose. We get it, Wards the bigger man, and he has a style that could spoil GGG's style. Ok, we don't care.

GGG is a a million x more entertaining to watch, and those same dorks are just bitter that he's not a "slick brutha". Period, point, blank.

                      ****ing dorks.
