Pretty much this ^^^^^^^^^^^ They basically talked themselves into a money fight, they showed up to pick up their cheque and thats that.

I think the whole MMA community need to seriously look at their boxing ability if Conor McGregor is held up as being one of the hardest hitters in their sport. He punches nothing like a boxer, and his power suffers because of it. He punches from his elbow, doesn't drive through his legs and hips and hence doesn't transfer any force.

He hit Floyd flush and Floyd barely blinked.

Watch him on the bag at the media workout and you can see his whole body up to his elbow pretty much remain static as he throws.

The uppercut keeps getting played up too much...could've been...should've been...would've been...except it didn't land flush. It was more of a glancing blow. Had it landed with power on the tip of the chin it might have been a game changer...but it didn't so it wasn't. Truth be told that was an out of shape version of Floyd and I've never seen him look worse. But experience alone was enough to take McGregor in deep waters and a tired fighter can't win.

But considering it was his professional debut he did much better than expected. McGregor talked himself up a huge mega payday...Mayweather went along for the ride and the folks that bought it...well all I can say is I didn't.

I'm a huge fan of Owen Roddy, Conor's striking coach, but they definitely should have prepared for Floyd walking down Conor.

Its been a staple of many of Floyds recent fights, probably the best example being against Canelo!
