True, but his corner men were fashionably dressed.
Metrosexual hipsters count that as a moral victory.

How can you call yourself a coach in any combat sport and not prepare your fighter to fight someone even if they go backward or come forward? He's only exposing himself as an incompetent coach by saying this.

They were not prepared for anything Floyd brought. They just wanted that big money as did Floyd. Never sought out a pro boxing trainer, only name sparring partner happened to be a Showtime employee. Both men played a lot of people, mainly the ones who worship these two or didnt know any better but the real fans of both sports knew what this truly was. Sadly these clowns still dont realize the fight was a joke from the start to the predictable finish.

That type of defense doesn't work well against southpaws...what's he gonna roll the jab and come back face first into a left hand?

It would make no difference if they knew floyd was coming forward...mcgregor has **** footwork and positioning when it comes to boxing. He looks ok at range, but no lateral movement, no pivots, no bumping, no clinching or turning the opponent....all things you should be proficient at to deal with a come forward style.

If Floyd takes a back step, which I believe he will, then I predict round six,” Kavanagh said on The MMA Hour. “That’s my prediction on it. I think for the first five rounds, he will back up, he will lie on the ropes the way he does, he will cover up and try to just absorb, and try to wear Conor down. That’s how I think he’ll approach the fight.

“If he doesn’t take a back step, and we’ll all see it — we’ll all see their feet, we’ll all see who walks backwards — if he walks forward and exchanges, it’ll be a one-round fight. It’ll be over in a minute. Because he’d be fighting in such a way that’s not normal to him, he won’t have had time to develop the skillset for an aggressive exchanging fighter. Like I said, I didn’t know a lot about Floyd before this, but I did watch his fights for his defensive work. So for him to go in there and try to trade with Conor and not walk backwards, would be so alien to him but so normal for Conor — that’s exactly what Conor’s the best at — he’ll be unconscious in a minute."
LMAO these guys are maroons. Wasn't Floyd saying consistently that he wouldn't be hard to find, he would walk Connor down, and stop him not good enough of a hint for them?

Did Mayweather have a choice? McGregor only moved forward a few times, threw flurries and landed nothing. It looked to me McGregors gameplan was to try and counter from the start.
