I think asking Canelo to move up in weight when he is claiming to be the Champion of the MW division and asking a guy like, oh let's say Floyd to move up is a big difference.
Fighters move up all the time for fights and belts and then go back down. Roy Jones was HW Champion. So your saying he should of stayed there??? GGG was trying to fight Froch and you know damn well he wouldn't of stayed at 168.

also, is insinuating that Canelo waited for Golovkin to get old..... ..... saying that Golovkin is cashing out?

it just sounds like an excuse
There is no doubt Canelo could have made the fight sooner (or should I say DLH). There is a lot of doubt that Golovkin could have made the fight.

The weight issue was BS and everyone knows it. Unless Golovkin had fought for some ridiculous purse and agreed to everything else I'm still doubtful DLH would have made the fight. He was the scared guy not Canelo. I have no doubt Canelo would have taken the fight. DLH did not want to fight Lara but Canelo made that fight happen. It almost back fired and I'm sure DLH had that card in his back pocket.

What ever you may think about DLH you can't disagree that from a PPV standpoint that he has credibility with boxers based on what he was able to accomplish.

All the time? RJJ is well known, we also know what happened to him after doing that. Give me many examples where well known fighters bumped up and down in weight. Kell Brook did, also didn't work out well for him when he went all the way back down. Also in both those cases they were already established champions at their weight class. RJJ had basically already done everything asked for when he moved up.

Jumping up and down between weight classes isn't done all the time as I see it and the higher the weight and the older you get the harder it is to do.

that is why I have decided to stop entertaining the fools

Canelo can take care of that in a couple of weeks

not sure who will win that fight, but I am praying for a cleanout of the second worst fanbase in the history of boxing

and hopefully it happens in true Marquez-style

Speaking of Marquez here's what he had to say about this offer.

"They are really punishing Gennady Golovkin [by offering a flat fee] .... because it's just a way to avoid to Golovkin, it's a way of saying we do not want the fight."

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is raining down some criticism over the Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) being offered a 'flat fee' to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs) next September.

                As Loeffler said:

“There were some preliminary discussions with (Golden Boy),” Loeffler wrote in a text. “But nothing of substance that was turned down. (Golovkin) would have fought Canelo last May if that would have been possible (before Canelo vacated the title to his mandatory Golovkin).”

You obviously have never done any type of serious negotiating in your life. You going down to the swap meet and haggling over which plunger you're going to buy to unclog your daily mess isn't negotiating fool.

When you start right off the bat with a terrible offer you aren't serious about making a deal.

This was for the Middleweight title not the Junior Middleweight title. Even in Mexico Canelo got heat for all this BS that DLH was pulling. Social meeting was down right nasty. There are many Mexicans and Mexican-Americans who are pulling for Golovkin like I've never seen when a non-Mexican is fighting a Mexican. Obviously the vast majority will root for Canelo but a lot of Mexicans were totally embarrassed by Canelo. Mexican fans know this was crap, and I know it was DLH's doing not Canelo.

But the fight is here, it is at 160lbs where it should be. May the better fighter win. I'm excited and hold no ill will on anyone associated with this fight. I'm sure the f'n haters like you will continue attacking because that's what losers do.

Now get back to unclogging your toilet because you made another mess.

                  don't talk rubbish

both parties start at either end, and then meet in the middle

Team Bull**** have been lying to their idiot fans for YEARS

                  stop being a mug

this is how a negotiation works.....

if you do not like the original offer, but are interested in the fight..... then you make a counter-offer

"Oscar De La Hoya..... made an “eight-figure offer” to Gennady Golovkin promoter Tom Loeffler a month ago and never heard back.....

..... 30 days ago I made an offer to GGG and his people. I made an eight-figure offer. I believe it’s an offer that was two, three, four times what he’s ever made and haven’t heard back. And that’s the bottom line.....

..... All I need is for GGG and his people to at least call us back and negotiate and to take the offer,” De La Hoya said. “GGG has said that he’s not a businessman and he’s said publicly that Canelo is going to offer him $2 million. Well, guess what? There’s an eight-figure number on the table for Golovkin. Sign the contract and let’s stop with this nonsense.”
                  "

                  https://www.ring tv.com/465555-oscar-says-made-eight-figure-offer-ggg/

also, stop crying about another mans money

stop insinuating that was a low-ball, when the word on the street is that Golovkin accepted LESS than Hoya's original offer.....

                  http://www.boxing news24.com/2017/03/de-la-hoya-says-golovkin-must-accept-generous-offer-canelo-fight/

seriously, how fkn dumb is that..... ?

accepting LESS than Hoya's original offer, means that there was nothing to stop Golovkin from taking that fight 12 months ago

"Look, it was not that complicated [to get the Canelo-Golovkin deal done]. It was not so difficult. To tell you the truth, all that was needed was to sit down to negotiate."

Golovkin lost his pen, and Loffler lost his phone..... then they accepted a WORSE deal than Hoya originally offered.....

..... but yea, let's blame Canelo LMAO
