This. The ****** dosen't understand that age has a lot to do with moving up. Fighters move up as they get older and can't make weight anymore. GGG turned pro at 26. Canelo at 15.

I think Golovkin has a lot more to lose if he comes up short. He's 35, he's had an aura around him since coming into the states, he needs a big win to solidify his legacy so with all that being said I think GGG will come to fight. I expect fireworks this September. Canelo seems disgruntled with the criticism he's received especially from the Mexican fan base. Golovkin at this stage needs a win because at 35 I think he knows that he needs this win. I honestly can't wait for this fight. It's going to be a barnburner.
Good post. I do think Canelo though has a ton to lose as well. If he wins he immediately is put in legendary status in Mexico if he loses I think things will be pretty tough. There are still a lot of Mexicans who are waiting on him to deliver a big fight. He has some good wins but he doesn't have a significant one yet.

I think that is what makes this fight so exciting both guys have so much to gain and a lot to lose. Can't wait.

          GGG jab will control distance

Canelo's excellent head and body movement won't be enough to evade it

The jab is heavy. It will do damage and create opportunities.

Canelo can't close without eating the jab.

          Canelo will lose power exchanges.

GGG's workrate is high and Canelo's stamina is questionable.

As Canelo eats jabs and tires he will leave openings. Once GGG has him on the run it's over.

I doubt GGG respects Canelo's power the way he did that of Lemieux and Jacobs.

After he's softened Canelo up he'll walk thru him.

Talk of Canelo having superior skills is BS.

I just can't see how Canelo can win this.
Okay this is exactly and I mean exactly how I see it. My prediction is 10th round TKO. Canelo corner stops it. I just haven't been able to envision Canelo winning this fight. At most I come up with him taking Golovkin's best hits and out working him for a close decision win but I just can't see it.

I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. Still debating if I bet enough to cover going to the fight. Either break even or be in the hole double!

Amatuer not pro. Canelo was even lighter then 139 before that. GGG has actually went down I weight since his last Olympic fight. I believe that weight class is up to 164 not 160.

any perceived delay, is obviously on him

based on the fact that golovkin refused to fight canelo on at least two previous occasions, the posters who have decided to say that canelo waited for golovkin to get old..... Are spastic fanboys

**** got real for them, now they run around making excuses

lmao.lollllllllllllll. You're either a troll or just a plain imbecile. Can't make this **** up.

He spent his entire pro career at 160. His 30 day weight is always around 172. Could of easily did a big fight at 168...

I'm rooting for Golovkin. This night should have happened last year but I didn't. Golovkin is still in his prime or at most just right after it and that still makes him a heck of a fighter. You aren't beating Golovkin unless you are a top notch fighter. So if Canelo wins, and no obvious robbery (Horn like) I'm giving Canelo full props. If Golovkin wins he deserves massive credit too. Also the more dominant the win is the more credit.

But yeah there are clowns who won't give any credit. They've already stated or implied as much. They are are already throwing out the age card, the smaller guy, Ward, Charlo, blah blah blah. F the haters.

What's your problem with Hopkins? As I recall he heard the same BS. Terrible competition, he didn't fight anyone. Even after defeating Tito he didn't move up.
