Yeah I'd think this is prime Canelo. I mean just about everyone who's around him or watches him thinks he is now at his prime. He clearly fills in above 155lbs. He's 27 vs. 22. If Golovkin beats Canelo it doesn't mean he's better than Floyd. It doesn't mean this Canelo would beat that Floyd, frankly I don't think Canelo would have ever beat Floyd.
The sign of a nut hugger is when they can't even acknowledge the possibility or probability that something might not favor their guy.Comment

What, don't want this thread to get any attention because you don't like it when people expose Mayweather's resume as overrated?Comment

[QUOTE=soul_survivor;18000439]Keep your personal life to yourself. I don't care about it one bit. I am here to discuss boxing. People who were following boxing at the time when Mayweather stepped on the scene knew the discussion around his fights and opponents. Didn't know NSB still have posters like you. Thought they might have cleaned up the place or you and your ilk disappeared when Pac lost to Floyd, but boy was i wrong.Comment

if floyd made a billion fighting bums boxing fans are not the brightest i guess. no one wanted to fight him before he beat oscar, just not worth the risk because he wasn't a ppv star & just too good back then. he called out mosley, mosley said he has a loose tooth.
fact is nowadays every top boxer carefully selects his opponents, floyd isn't the only one. without arum pacquiao wouldn't be as famous as he is right now either. mosley went to roach's gym and asked if they wanna fight him remember? roach said at a catchweight 143lbs they would. only with a smart career management u can stay at the top for 20 years. it's not just about being undefeated, u also have to worry about your health. u won't see a fighter like robinson with 200 fights nowadays, or archie moore 132 KOs, times have changed. maidana gave him a hell of a fight, castillo did too, oscar, zab judah were all tough opponents, it wasn't a walk in the park for him that's for sure. he beat more champs than any boxer ever, that should be good enough.Comment

Fighters age differently, you don't have to go through wars to get wear and tear on your body.He had fought 7 times in the previous 6 years and retired for almost 2. Not exactly putting himself through the ringer leading up to that age if you ask me.
Not saying what he's accomplished is not great because he's an amazing fighter but he hasn't gone through wars like other 35 year old fighters
Floyd was clearly past his best days by age 36.Comment
