    ^This right here.

Marquez was great but Erik Morales would have beat him handily in their primes.

in his prime it was barrera - morales

      and then marquez.

that's just how it was. they were top p4p fighters during marquez prime. marquez was a late bloomer in a lot of ways, and his style lended itself to successes later in his career. he also, ahem, hooked up with a steroid guru and went through puberty again.

He beat prime Pacquiao through 12rd decision, he had arguably more nostalgic moments in his career.

          And he ducked no one.

Marquez is a fake mexican. A true coward.
He refused to fight Morales several times turning down career high paydays.

He also ducked Humberto Soto, Joan Guzman And Edwin Valero to name just a few.

He eventually grew the balls to fight Barrera when Barrera was old flabby and sick. And nearly got Knocked the fcuk out. and barely sc****d a decision. Imagine what prime Marco would do.
Also ducked Hamed and then moaned about it.

MOrales has victories over prime MAB and Pacquiao. When JMM does something like that, let me know.

Two different career paths. Morales had more success during their physical prime years, but was basically burnt out by his early 30's.

He lacked the heart and dedication that Marquez showed throughout his career.

It's funny hearing people talk about PED's when Morales was the one being caught. He also quit agianst Pacquiao deciding to stay on the canvas rather than keep on fightjng, and like a diva demanded his opponents wear specific gloves.

This, and the fact that JMM lost to Floyd Mayweather, then KO'd Manny after going through his second puberty, has led to him being over-rated by a lot of fans at this site. You all know who I'm talking about there.

He is obviously an excellent fighter, but not as good as prime Morales.

If Morales had been dominated by Floyd, like JMM was, he would be rated a lot higher at this place than he is now. That's how things work here.
