Ward is number 1 p4p, I think he's a great fighter...and a decent guy too!

Is Ward really P4P #1?

He is, there's really nobody else you can make a case for without sounding biased. GGG, Lomachenko, and Crawford all lack the resume compared to Ward.

Dawson: Ward fought a weight-drained Dawson, rather than move up to LHW to fight him.
Kovalev: Won a debatable decision in the first fight, and fouled numerous times in the second one.
Kessler: Headbutted a lot in this fight.

I guess this is what happens when you are that good. Ward is and should be UNDISPUTED p4p#1
True words. He's P4P NO1 for sure.

How anyone can even try to debate that he's NOT number one in the world right now in boxing just amazes me. I can't stand the hate against some specific/particular boxers sometimes. It's depressing.
You cannot name me an active fighter with a better resume than him right now. With WINS all of those big fights.
If you can, only then will you have the right to even ARGUE if he's number one right now p4p.
Regardless of if you like him or not.Last edited by lolpz; 08-08-2017, 12:48 PM.

But since people get hung up on it, I'll bite.
There's no standout, obvious #1 fighter at the moment. Ward deserves the vote as much as anyone. There are no "asterisks" in boxing. (I sometimes wish there were.)
