    Is Ward really P4P #1?

Ward is listed as the #1 P4P fighter in the sport right now, and I'm not sure why. His resume looks impressive, but several of his wins should have asterisks next to them.

Dawson: Ward fought a weight-drained Dawson, rather than move up to LHW to fight him.

Kovalev: Won a debatable decision in the first fight, and fouled numerous times in the second one.

Kessler: Headbutted a lot in this fight.

You take it for what it is. He DID beat all of the competition put in front of him. If people want to put him on their imaginary list on who's the greatest boxer no point in stopping them.

Yes just ahead of Crawford in second and Lomachenko in third.

I don't see anyone else who can rival him even after Crawford has a win over Indongo, Ward still has wins over Kovalev whom Crawford really hasn't faced anyone as notorious or dangerous as Kovalev was considered going into their first fight.

#1P4P is mythical BS. It's not a real thing. It's a popularity contest for boxing insiders.

But since people get hung up on it, I'll bite.

There's no standout, obvious #1 fighter at the moment. Ward deserves the vote as much as anyone. There are no "asterisks" in boxing. (I sometimes wish there were.)

None of those fights should have asterisks next to them. Only cry babies think this. And there is no crying in boxing.

I rank Loma and GGG higher. Spence and Thurman will take his spot when they fight each other.

That could be a long way off, unfortunately. A lot could change before Thurman and Spence get in the ring together. Otherwise I might agree.

Yes, he is p4p #1. His impressive wins over the years have made him the top boxer.

I still think he lost his first fight against Kovalev, but he came back to knock him.

Crawford second and Loma third for me, Spence probably comes in around about eight just ahead of Canelo, Golovkin I'd have around 6th.
