yeah his cv is overrated. froch was a good win which i give credit for but that was a damn close fight, he won by 1 round on two scorecards. i thought kov clearly won the first fight and i cant give credit for that second fight, fight getting called off after punching the guy in the balls, was like some old fashioned slapstick comedy. his performance against kessler was nothing short of disgraceful and any fair ref would have DQ'd him. dawsons not a good win, pascal beat him and stevenson iced him in a round. who else is there, abraham? not having it that thats a top win. real knowledgable boxing fans know that its not a great cv where as casual fans just see the names and think, oh wow wards beaten the best, they dont know the circumstance behind it.

I'm sorry but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend he's #1 because he has two wins over Kovalev. One was a close fight that he did not win, the other was a fight he most probably would've won fair and square, but he didn't. He repeatedly hit Kovalev below the belt, hell the fight even ended on a low blow. Haven't seen anything like that before.

That's the story of his career. His biggest wins are always surrounded with asterisks and controversies.

still trying to spin that one even though it was disproven? he said no so fast because it was a joke. look at the details. ward wanted a 50-50 split even though roc nation subsidizes ward and gives him millions on top of the official purse so in reality ward wanted millions more than ggg who was more popular than him uhhh and he wanted for ggg to delay his wbc mandatory shot and fight him instead next year when the wbc said they were going to order the fight against cotto/canelo. that doesnt sound like ward wanted to fight to me. wanting to fight is hey you are available and im available lets fight now! why dont you ever question ward for not wanting to fight ggg right away? if you want to fight someone you dont offer them a fight next year when you know they are busy wtf is that? also ward already turned down the fight when they were both available so we have our answer to who really wanted to fight and who as playing publicity games.
