Spence for me is more rounded than Thurman, both are impressive but I favour Spence over Thurman, both are likely to face each other which I expect to be a great fight if you like tactical tight affairs, I don't see a stoppage.

The elbow assaults against Sakio Bika was Wards lowest point imo. Bika actually did more to win that fight but the son of judges got the decision.
Ward is a mentaly very strong guy and has the heart of a warrior but when it comes to boxing skills the guy is very limited. He cant even throw combinations.. Just single shots and clinching.. His punching power below average. Not p4p fighter imo

Agreed. It will be a really good matchup when it finally happens -- late 2018 or so. Wish it were sooner, but Thurman is injured and will need at least one tuneup. He doesn't fight often, so that's not promising news if you want to see him against Spence.

        I also favor Spence, slightly.

It'll happen happen, Haymon has his guys face each other whilst padding their records and accounts between fights. One thing Haymon can't be knocked for is putting his men in against the others.

I don't have an issue waiting 12-18 months for that fight with the likelihood Porter faces Spence between then and now, I'm not impatient when Thurman is fighting the guys I wanted him to face and Spence is too, whilst I don't agree with guys Salka turning up opposite them I fathom why these type fights happen, that one maybe not so much, bad example there I guess.

Another ****** with his boring ass dated views, Ward ain't butted no one since Kessler has he ? When was the last time he used his elbows. Bika is one of the damned dirtiest boxers out there, he has absolutely zero technical skill and my memories of him throwing punches he never had his feet planted whatsoever, of you're gonna bring up dirty boxers Bika may in fact be the dirtiest and he's so technically lacking it's actually difficult to determine if he's in fact intentionally being dirty.

How many Bika fights have you actually seen ?

His resume is pretty good. But to me he isnt the best fighter in the sport. Id put Rigondeux above him but ward is top 3 for sure.

Nobody who is still on top has proven themselves more than Ward. He's definitely, undeniably #1 anyone that disagrees is biased or DKSAB.

Ward has a better resume than anybody. He fought everybody in their prime.

Since Roy Jones Junior left the top spot, the pound for pound number 1 title has just been a popularity contest!

To be honest, i think the Pound for Pound number 1 should be Anthony Joshua! (For the simple fact that he has won every single one of his fights via knock out, and his last fight was a step into true elite level!

I am not a massive fan of Anthony Joshua's, but i honestly think he should be pound for pound number 1!
