Yes. I remember back in 2001, feeling really patriotic, and proud as B-Hop KO'd FT in MSG. The man is something else!

Hopkins is a better fighter than Ward. He's a bit smaller, but I would still favor him over ward.

Hopkins is taller and has the slightly longer reach. The reason why Hopkin's was a career middleweight is his unparalleled discipline on diet and and exercise to which he never goes up in weight off in fights even being inactive for a year.

But when head to head against Kovalev, there was no size advantage on anyone. Kovalev's ridiculous strength is what makes him bigger that he appeared to be, but in truth, Hopkins, Ward, and Kovalev are the same size.

Erm, no. All 3 are basically the same height, but to say they're the same size is crazy. Hopkins has boxed as low as 155. Kovalev is on record saying he'll probably never fight Golovkin because he wont be able to make any sort of a CW because he cant "cut his arm off". Ward has basically never fought below 168, which he made comfortably for majority of his career.
At age 30, Kovalev was fighting at 175, Ward at 168, and Hopkins at 158.

How do you think Ward would have done against Jermain Taylor?

To me, both fighters are absolutely phenomenal at what they do. However, what sets Andre apart is his ability to make adjustments.

For example, in the first half of the first fight with Sergei Kovalev he had trouble overcoming and dealing with the size, power and strength differential of the Russian.

However, in the second half of their first fight he adapted and made subtle changes in order to neutralize Kovalev's physical advantages he had over him. Likewise, it subsequently carried over into their rematch as well.
