Hopkins might have a lot of tricks in his bag, but none of these would be able to make up for the athletic advantage Ward would have against him.

Hopkins was a career middleweight, you look at his resume at 168+ and his best wins are Pascal-Tarver, which is pretty underwhelming.


Jones struggling against Griffin, Toney struggling against Tiberi, Calzaghe struggling against Reid, etc. these men were all 20+ fights into their careers and struggling with sub par competition, that has NEVER happened to Ward. The only time he's struggled was when he was around 7 fights in against Boone and against one of the hardest hitting LHW's ever, Kovalev.

Ward could never struggle with any of those fighters I listed and be taken seriously. The standards for him are ridiculous.
