Nothing low about the blow in your GIF. Kovalev has to understand that while some of the low blows were borderline, that shot upstairs nearly knocked him out. Reversing the decision would set a VERY dangerous precedent.

I saw many fights stopped because of that. It means you are defenseless and don't want it anymore. If anything, Weeks gave him a chance. He could've stopped the fight right there and then.

Kovalev quit, end of the story.
what was he doing turning his back hmmm straw man since he wasnt turning his back so why would i respond to that?

why not focus on what actually happened instead of making things up? kov was hurt, was moving around and slipping most the shots ward threw, ward threw 3 low blows, and the fight was stopped. did low blows become legal when a fighter is hurt? is it like the finishing move or something?

Bottom line - Watch the last minute before it was stopped and ask yourself "Did Kovalev look like someone who could still win the fight at that point?". I agree the stoppage looked a bit quick, but Ward landed lots of unanswered punches before it got stopped and Kovalev wasn't throwing back/defending himself.
Even discounting the fact that Kovalev didn't look in any worse shape than Ward till he was hit by 2 punches that landed in exactly the same place on his waistband that the ref had already given Ward a warning for targeting ealier in the fight ... yes, Kovalev absolutely did look like someone who could still win the fight at that point.

I've seen plenty of guys come back to win from far worse places than Kovalev was in before Ward started bombarding him in the nuts.

yeah the precedent that fights cant be stopped on low blows. we need more fights to be stopped like that. and we so badly need bad calls to always stick even if we have video evidence that it was wrong. these are traditions we need to keep!

why you talking about the shot that hurt kovalev? that had nothing to do with the stoppage. he was hit low and then the ref stopped it. he wasnt hit with the big shot and then it was stopped. yes that would have been an early stoppage but we have seen those before. what ew have not seen before is a stoppage after illegal shots and you are saying that its bad to set a precedent of fiixing mistakes? NEVER ADMIT YOU ARE WRONG TRUMP STYLE FAKE NEWS

he prob meant in the first fight after ward got hurt. but there is no point in debating. you show a picture of ward hitting kovalev way low and the other side just says its not low. its the new trump style of debating. deny deny deny and hope you have a big enough fan base to deny wtih you

I wonder what NSAC will say when Ward's lawyers present a video of Kovalev getting rocked, turning his back, and faking low-blows to the ref?

Ward about to give Kovalev his 3rd L
