He was in a fight that could have gone either way a very close fight. He wasn't clearly above Mosley.

He showed he wasn't clearly above Margarito when he got the shit beat out of him.

We'll never know because Floyd ducked him.

        "1. Cotto isn't a PPV star
        2. Cotto lives too far
        3. I'll retire before the sport of boxing retires me.
        4. I have nothing left to prove in boxing"

        Floyd Mayweather December 2007

"I will fight Floyd Mayweather or whoever my team puts in front of me".

After Hatton almost lost to Collazo, please tell me where Hatton was ranked as a Welterweight?

Do I need to show you the video of where the lightly regarded puncher Luiz Collazo had Hatton out on his feet?

Great, Floyd could've fought Cotto in 2005. Why did Cotto need to be a PPV star in 2007? Why did Cotto live too far in 2007?

Hatton was a money grab before his PLANNED retirement. A retirement he planned since the DLH fight. Because Mayweather didn't change his plans he somehow ducked a fighter that was lucky to be ranked #1 for all of 7 months?

Yeah, that's all he was because he damn sure wasn't the top Welterweight. Collazo kicked Hatton's ass well before Floyd. Cotto, Williams and Margarito were the top Welterwights.

                  before his PLANNED retirement
Of course he had a planned retirement when he started being questioned about Cotto, Margarito and Mosley. Of course. How convenient was it to retire in 2007 and come back in 2009 and fight a Lightweight. That's a TBE move.

Lol Maybe you don't understand the definition of retirement.

Mayweather has a history of "retiring", only to come back for fights he selects.

You call it retiring, everyone else calls it ducking which is why TBE will "never" have the respect of the boxing public because this is what he does when the kitchen gets hot.

so it's okay for cotto to wait 3 years to man up and wanna fight Floyd? 2005-2008. you are so inconsistent bro.

so Floyd wants cotto in 2005. but cotto wants Floyd in 2008 it's floyd fault tho.

and you keep screaming 2008 like cotto didn't get knocked out in 2008

                    end thread/

                      I'll just say.

                      Cotto was never that good.

Cotto, Mosley and Margarito battled it out for the #1 spot and Cotto finished bottom of the pile.

Deal with it. No good trying to hype him now.
