Who hits harder; McGregor or Robert Guerrero?

What?!
Do you really mean these things you say or are you just saying them for a reaction?
He dropped Aldo heavy and punches twice on the floor.
After I'd say 5 seconds, Aldo tried to get up and the Doctors or whoever wouldn't let him.
Camera cuts to McGregor celebrating for about 20 seconds, cuts back and Aldo is standing up.
About 30 seconds later cuts back to him again and he's standing up and squats and puts his head in his hands I'd imagine from severe disappointment.
"5 minutes"
I had to and quickly watch that again on youtube just incase.
Anyway, definitely wasn't knocked out cold.Comment

It's not entirely true. If you want to fight above 147, the rule is you fight in 10oz. Remember Floyd complaining about that vs dela hoya?
There are benefits of boxing gloves, i.e catching shots, covering larger parts etc - but pure force and damage done, there's not a whole lot of difference between 4oz and 8/10oz.
Scientific research has been done on this. it's all over youtube.Comment

Scientific data doesnt show the human aspect and the fact is punches are slower and easier to block, especially with the bigger gloves and this CLEARLY impacts KO percentages. There is a reason why the weight of the glove is a big concern in fights and in sparring because anyone in that ring knows the difference. And the only way to compare Conor and Floyd's power is by SAME CONDITIONS and that means having Conor fight UFC fighters or boxers with 8 ounce gloves. Comparisons and ONLY happen when all the conditions are the same. There is no way in hell if Floyd was allowed to use 4 ounce gloves that he wouldnt have a high KO percentages and conversely the same if Conor was using 8 ounce gloves. It is much easier to block slower punches than faster ones and that has a huge impact.Comment

Doesn't matter if they have better technique or whatever, we all know punchers are born not made and the fights at 154 he'll probably be 170 by fight night.
No question he hits harder than Guerrero. The weight and everything else considered I'd say he probably hit about as hard as Ortiz who I would put around mid-list.
Different types of power too I'd say his power was more comparable to an Ortiz.
He's not the puncher he is made out to be IMO these fighters just haven't the built up punch resistance and are clueless on how to fight a southpaw so get caught blind sided whilst overextending but he definitely will have some sort of power Floyd had ought to respect.
Floyds older and slower too, chances are his punch resistance has diminished.
He has some sort of punchers chance.Comment
