Punching in UFC and boxing is completely different I'd say there's many UFC fighters who can do damage in UFC but not boxing.

Mike Perry is just one example. He was 10-1 10 ko's in UFC.

In a Boxing match his punches seemed to have no pop.
Have you seen the Aldo fight? Buchinger? Poirier was concussed too.

Do you think that's down to technical inefficiency or pure punching power?

It's not exactly his power. It's his timing and accuracy. But straight punching power, I think Ghost might be the harder pure puncher. That's really hard to tell, because they don't have common opponents, and Ghost doesn't fight in 4 Oz. gloves.

Actually I tend to think McGregor is a pretty hard puncher and probably a better puncher than several of the people on TS' list.

But his punching power is unlikely to be relevant in a boxing match against an elite professional boxer.

Landing that power effectively in a ring with 10oz gloves, boxing rules and against a tremendous defender will be entirely unfamiliar territory for him.

I've seen Aldo but he wasn't out cold.

Never seen the other two I'll watch those soon.

I don't know. I don't think that UFC fighters can punch well most of them.

Never dropped in his career from a 4oz glove until he met Conor and was put down like a cow in a slaughter house 3 times in 2 rounds.

You make it sound so easy. Like everyone wearing 4oz gloves should boast KO records like Conor's. Well they don't and the reason McGregor is the name that he is is because he did what all the others could not.
For MMA standards, Conor has pretty good timing. The standards are different in boxing. These aren't no Eddie Alvarez and some Chad Mendez. These guys are legitimate punchers.

                  Woahhh, really?

Who would you say McGregor punches harder than in that list?

It's safe to say Aldo was out cold. Not lights out, and no motion, cold, but pretty much lights out. And i'm not a Conor fan, defending him. Just saying.

                      ffs

In that situation, McGregor could've KOd Eggs, because he was literally a punching bag, but like I said in my first comment, there's a different between being heavy-handed and being a good puncher. Pauli is obviously neither, but you put Pauli and McGregor in the ring, there's more chance of McGregor going down than Pauli, even though McGregor is more heavy-handed.
