UFC fan: Connor is an elite combat athlete. Why should he need more than 40 days to learn how to put on a pair of boxing gloves and do what he already does in the Octagon .. knocking guys TFO?

Boxing is simple. The easiest combat sport of all to learn. Nothing to it .. Connor's gonna destroy Mayweather!

That's what I see happening but with not nearly as much success as Marcos.

Watch all of McGregor's MMA KOs, only 1 KO was from a boxing legal punch. He knocks guys down and finishes them there. He does not show 1 punch KO power ala Julian Jackson at all. Floyd has more true 1 punch KOs than McGregor does. Stunning a guy with a left and them punching him 8 times while he's laying on his back doesn't really indicate 1 punch KO power in boxing. And he's doing that with 4 oz gloves on.

The only thing interesting will be when he digs into the body when he has Floyd on the ropes. That might cause some trouble, but otherwise it's going to be a joke. McGregor doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as several guys Floyd has been in with.

I totally agree with this. The more he adapts his style to be a conventional boxing style, the easier it will be for Mayweather.

Aside from maybe establishing a jab. Does McGregor even have a jab? Like in the UFC or anything?

"getting better" is not going to be anywhere close to enough to beat possibly the greatest defensive boxer of all time. Try again touch butt dork

Honestly, do people really believe that Connor would destroy Floyd in less than a minute in the octagon? Conor is mostly a striker who likes to stand. He isn't going to try and take down Floyd off the bat the way Couture did to Tony. The fight starts on their feet where Floyd could easily counter Connor and hurt him just like Connor could catch Floyd and hurt him. Just because Floyd is a boxer doesn't mean he can't throw an elbow or a kick as well. More than likely I see Conor getting frustrated by not being able to catch Floyd like he's used to catching other guys and taking him down in the clinch and trying to beat him on the floor.

Might see some head snapping counters from Floyd early as well as a little bit of dirty **** from McG and tbh it's in McGs best interest to be a bit dirty as JLC and MM had most success "roughing up" Flomo
