Canelo is smaller by virtue of the fact that he's clearly shorter and that matters. Body composition-wise, I think it's close. Canelo is very stocky. The most important thing to be said is that it's a fair fight. Those who are trying to pretend that there is zero physical difference are children with child-like minds. As are those who act as if Canelo is facing Goliath.

In a fight, boxers always have advantages over each other, be it size, experience, physical youth, technique, etc, etc. No one is ever exactly the same. This is about as close as you can get to 50/50, and that's really what matters.

Nah. Canelo is barrel chested. Which can make up for reach in terms of fight/athletic advantage.

GGG is longer, Canelo is deeper in the chest...both are different versions of size when the height comparison is not disproportionally different.

Yes, Canelo can weigh whatever he wants but he is shorter than GGG, he will have shorter legs and arms and probably smaller fists too. That counts as part of size. Canelo can weigh whatever he wants but GGG is a better physical example of a middleweight. Simple.

The only way to match fighters by size is to match them by weight. That's why boxing, and every other combat sport, has weight divisions. Not height divisions, or fist size divisions, or leg length divisions ... weight divisions.

GGG and Canelo are the same weight, and therefore, the same size.
