Nah. Canelo is barrel chested. Which can make up for reach in terms of fight/athletic advantage.Canelo is smaller by virtue of the fact that he's clearly shorter and that matters. Body composition-wise, I think it's close. Canelo is very stocky. The most important thing to be said is that it's a fair fight. Those who are trying to pretend that there is zero physical difference are children with child-like minds. As are those who act as if Canelo is facing Goliath.
In a fight, boxers always have advantages over each other, be it size, experience, physical youth, technique, etc, etc. No one is ever exactly the same. This is about as close as you can get to 50/50, and that's really what matters.
GGG is longer, Canelo is deeper in the chest...both are different versions of size when the height comparison is not disproportionally different.Comment

[QUOTE=TonyGe;17856429]wow...just WOW. This is terrible on so many levels...i dont even have the time today to break this down.
I'm not being clear. As far as the media etc. goes yeah it's career defining. In terms of a challenge I don't think so. I think Jacobs will turn out to be the toughest fight he will of had. The point of the fight is it's lucrative and G wants the recognition from the media. That's my own personal opinion. I think he's been building his legacy a little bit at a time. He's defeated his opponents in a fashion that a dominant champion should. So to me at least he's done all he can do in the Middleweight division except unify. He's going to lose eventually he's not getting any younger but I don't think Canelo is the guy to beat him. If he unifies the titles I would consider that his defining fight. As far as Golovkins resume goes it's extremely impressive. You have to factor in his extensive amature career plus his KO percentage. However the resumes of the two guys don't throw punches in the ring. Whether one guy has a better resume is subjective. At this point in their careers it's not a factor.
So the media tells you what is "career defining"? As if the media always tells the truth or the complete story?
YOU make almost no sense. Thats like telling me everything I see on the news must be true and factual. So much wrong in your post..i Just cantComment

Virgil said that GGG is legit top 10 P4P and how high you want to place him on the P4P list is up to you.
In other words, what Virgil means by saying GGG is not a hype job is that he has a legit case for being P4P No1Last edited by kafkod; 07-14-2017, 07:54 AM.Comment

Look at this idiot. How did you get that he thinks Golovkin has a legit case for #1? Reaching. He just said he doesn't rank P4P place him where you want.
Kovalev has as much case as anyone else going by your dumb logic. Nobody would put him #1.

The only way to match fighters by size is to match them by weight. That's why boxing, and every other combat sport, has weight divisions. Not height divisions, or fist size divisions, or leg length divisions ... weight divisions.I do not understand this, how are these so called boxing experts so ignorant? Yes, Canelo can weigh whatever he wants but he is shorter than GGG, he will have shorter legs and arms and probably smaller fists too. That counts as part of size. Canelo can weigh whatever he wants but GGG is a better physical example of a middleweight. Simple.
GGG and Canelo are the same weight, and therefore, the same size.Comment

Lol .. that is typical of you!
When faced with a fact you don't like .. start spinning!
Virgil: "There's no argument against GGG being in the top 10 (P4P) As far as the order .. I don't get into that, because everybody has their own favourites and where they want to put them .. so there's no set order"
In other words ... Virgil says Golovkin is a top 10 P4P fighter, and if you want to put him at No1, he won't argue with that.
Which is what I said, yeah?Last edited by kafkod; 07-14-2017, 08:36 AM.Comment

Keep reaching. Twisting what Hunter actually said into what you want people to believe he means. In a pathetic attempt to validate your opinion.
We all know who Hunter would say if he was pushed to say who was #1.
You basically said because Hunter said put them in any order, that all P4P top 10 have a case for #1. So Kovalev has a case does he?
