LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL you think boxing is dying?

3 of the 8 biggest selling PPV's happened within the last 5 years. The WBSS gots $50M a year deal to put on tournaments in various divisions. Top Rank just got a TV deal with ESPN throwing a legend on its first show & throwing 2 P4P guys next month. The biggest fight in history is 6ish weeks away. GGG vs Canelo are fighting a couple weeks after that in one of the most anticipated fights this year. Anthony Joshua is among the most marketable athletes (not boxers) in the world (not the UK) & is just coming into his elite level career.

If this is boxing dying I think you got no clue what dying looks like. Boxing is looking better in 2017 then its looked in years in nearly every avenue.

Should we put Mayweather-McGregor on this list in the article below now or should we wait until the fight is over?

It was very WWF, really is a low point for boxing especially if it ends up being the biggest fight ever.

It would be ok if the actual event wasn't the equivalent of the Golden State Warriors playing a second string high school team.

Dying or dead? You frame your argument like I said it was dead. Try this on me in a two or three calendar years.

Were you a fan of boxing five or ten or 15 years ago?

Who you think is going to hold this sport down moving forward?

          Speak on it, dude.

Fells like wwe. There's gonna be a lot of disappointed people afterwards. Give it to mcgregor tho, he's a hell of a promoter. Floyd could sit there and say nothing and it would still probably sell the same.

Sports aren't built on names as much as silly mfers like to act like. Sports are built on competition. And there will be as much competition as needed to keep boxing & sports at boxings level or higher alive for the foreseeable future.

If boxing ever dies or gets close to dying as we know it it'll be because the injuries happening in boxing (& football & other sports) are deemed to much of a risk for the sport to be participated in by enough people that the interest in it dries up. You gotta go at a sport more at its core then at the guys at the top driving the sport to kill it. So head trauma becoming a talking point against boxing kills it more than there isn't a new Floyd & Manny level popular guy to take over the sport 2yrs or more after Floyd retired & Manny was holding his peak level of popularity. Every sport has periods where the old guard move out & the new guard come up. Plus boxing specifically seems to be in a period of transition between the sport moving from a smaller audience on premium cable to larger audiences on national & free TV & I predict more into the streaming world in the next 5-10 years. Boxing is in it for the long haul & if you don't believe that you have poor perception on the popularity of the sport.

I mean show me a sport that has had a event on the level of Manny vs Floyd or this one going on now with Floyd & Conor & that was dead within 5, 10 or 20 years? Sh^t show me any sport that has boxing's level of popularity or bigger that legit died? I think some of you guys are insane with this boxing dying stuff & just love being dramatic about things with boxing dying, this guy need to retire cuz he lost his 0 or the sport is 100% corrupt & other comically extreme opinions.

                      Why you avoiding my question?

And if I've been following boxing for two weeks I'm confident I know more about boxing then you if you think boxing is gonna be dead or in a death spiral in 2 years or whatever you are trying to imply but avoiding nailing it down now cuz you realize how ****** it is probably.
