So wtf are you talking about then if boxing isn't dying dying? Its merely "dying". So boxing is getting 150k people watching HBO shows max or something before HBO quits airing boxing as I suspect they do in the near future? What exactly does "dying" boxing look like to you.

This whole "dying" stuff is some of the dumbest stuff smart boxing fans talk about here besides ATG P4P masturbatory bs.
Do you love this sport?? :wank: We're years past the "dying" talk. There's a few tumbleweeds and a lizard crawling across a rock where six or seven superstars used to be. The quality of the athletes is a disaster to what it once was. Bass fishing and bowling get higher ratings. When I ask Russians in LA who Sergey Kovalev is they have no idea who I'm talking about.. I've been around for longer than 3 minutes, son. This is the Twilight Zone we're living in at this point. It's a ****ing joke. If you don't think boxing is "dead" enjoy the fantasy. Enjoy your opinion. Enjoy your imaginary girlfriend who lives in Canada.

I don't even know where to start at with the mess you posted there. But since you don't wanna answer my legit & relevant questions I've been honestly curious to see your answers on I guess we can just agree to disagree boxing is dying.

            Boxing PPV is dying.
The fact that this fight is in a boxing ring is incidental. In fact, the intrigue would be higher if it was an MMA matchup. Floyd would get wrapped up in 30 seconds, and everyone would boo, but it would generate more money.
Floyd transcended the sport of boxing long ago, so even in the octagon, people are going to see Money Mayweather in there.

So, yes. Boxing PPV is dying. I'm still 50/50 on Canelo/ggg. I kind of want to buy it, but I could also go to a sports bar and mooch.
I think Canelo/GGG gets every hardcore boxing fan to watch, and pulls in about 500,000 casuals.
So, maybe it does a cool million.
Hardly a windfall for a fight that should be WAY bigger than May at 38 & Pac at 37, in terms of significance, and guaranteed excitement.
But ODL is in charge now. He is going to **** this up by not getting it anywhere near what it should be.
That in-ring callout? Maygregor are clowns. These guys aren't clowns, and ODL trying to sell them as WWE characters.

Boxing will live on as a niche sport (akin to NASCAR & golf in terms of hardcore fan base). But in the world of free ****?
Boxing PPV is making it a blockbuster night, when it should be Netflix and chilling.
