Boxing should have more of this. People on here just love to b.itch and complain about everything especially when it comes to Maywesther.

It looked amateurish ? Really having a presser with 11k people screaming at Staples center looks amateurish. Having both fighters getting the crowd amped and stoking the fires comes across as amateurish?

I'd understand if it the press conference was like when Miguel Cotto announced he was signing to Roc Boxing and it was done in a Puerto Rican food court but this is a good kick off to this event.

The fact is this is going to be a event that crosses over and gets people who aren't boxing , combat sport fans watching. For the couple hundred thousand hardcore boxing fans we can watch GGG/Canelo a couple weeks later and take pride in the fact that the biggest boxing match this year for us. Their press conference was as boring as watching paint dry.
      LOL you f#cking get it.

So many hipster boxing fans out there that'll complain about boxing getting attention for some ****** reason. Its like boxing is more noble the less accessible it is, the less attention people pay to it.

If you dipsh^ts wanna complain about something complain about the abc groups that have been buttf#cking the sport & diluting the talent pool & the meaning of the word champion for decades. Thats a crime against boxing. Getting people paying more attention to boxing is a good thing you dummies.

It was very cringe worthy to be honest - everything is being set up for some kind of 'drama' on fight night.

          Mark my words...

These two guys are basically the lead roles in a ridiculous pantomime with one single aim...they get rich by hyping a ****** 'fight' watched by rednecks and crack heads.

The fact that this boxing forum is eating up this BS fight isnt a good look.

            It's an exhibition.

if selling the fight to the causals is on the agenda then floyd did pretty bad in the lead up to the berto fight............

it has to do with your post regarding the thread title. so if that's what they were trying to do, to "sell the fight to the causals" then why didnt they pull this wwe stunt in the berto fight, whcih is the fight that needed the most promotion to "sell the fight to the causals".

This is like asking why does the Super Bowl-the most watched TV event each year-has more advertising than TV shows that get far less viewers.

You are really ****** and its annoying.

Floyd/Conor reaches a wider market than Floyd/berto. There is more money available for promotion. As such, they use the extra resources to stage promotional events like this.
