No, Pacquiao's legacy as the most exciting fighter of his generation is secure.
Most fighters stay around too long, even the great ones. Duran, Oscar, BHop and Roy Jones are just a few stayed past their time. It's rare when a great fighter quits at the top, it's always just one more fight, one more payday.

There are levels to this! Oscar @ 154 is very different than Oscar @147. Canelo @ 152 is very different than Margarito @ 150. The Mosely that Floyd schooled is very different than the Mosely that Pacquiao beat. Cotto @ 154 is very different than Cotto @ 145. Let's not even talk about Marquez! Maidana is very different than Algieri! Even Berto is very different than Brandon Rios and Jeff Horn! Last but not least Floyd schooled Pacquiao himself! So no disrespect to Manny, but wherever you put him, Floyd has to be 3 to 5 levels higher than that! Manny was a very exciting guy to watch, but Floyd was a Master Technician on a historic level!

Paq won his 8 titles it's all about greed now and cash and gold

Greed motivates little Manny now nothing else. Paq seeks easy fights avoiding the great comp at 147lbs in his old age. Horn just surprised Manny by fighting back rare for an aussie. Manny will get millions in the rematch even a PPV this time. Boxing could careless about greedy greasy Paq that's why no one wanted the Horny fight. Manny wants money and lots of it without any risk. Horn screwed that up.

Manny needs to purge his team of all the greedy money grubbin, free-ride shady back-stabbing MFers. He shouldn't HAVE to fight at this stage, he SHOULD be set for life by now. No doubt people have taken advantage of him.

MONEY CORRUPTS (like "power"). People change. People cave under the weight of greed... all the time.

Maybe he just misses that "fight night feeling" or maybe his finances aren't adding up? Who knows? Maybe it's a bit of both... but someone should tell Arum he can't take money with him to the grave.

Fair enough. It was a massive struggle -- I do think Pac won but the fact that it was even THAT competitive...it's pretty telling. I think he's done at the top level. An A level guy works Horn over, his backyard or not. It's hard for me to admit it but Manny has been reduced to a B level fighter at this stage. And it's not going to get better. He's only going to degrade further with each passing day.
