JCC and Cotto, etc., went into survival mode where they threw less, moved more, and engaged less..it's how you get beat up...LESS and have "bragging rights" for not getting stopped.

Age IS a relevant factor in this fight and it IS a reason to lean towards Canelo, he has the age advantage.

Canelo keeps talking knockout because he plans on outboxing Golovkin, which would be in my opinion a very bad strategy. Obviously no boxer in his right mind is going to give away his game plan by allowing his opponent to know and hear about it in advance.
His best bet against GGG is just to stand and trade and don't attempt to fight off the back foot, because Gennady is a master at cutting off the ring. If he moves he's going to get hurt. There only so many counters he can land while absorbing multiple punches himself in the process.
The trouble Alvarez is going to encounter while attempting to outbox GGG, is that Golovkin often leads forward with his jab. Gennady neutralizes Ginger's counters with his lead jab while fighting off the front foot.
